Along with this update they should the upgrade the engine form the 177bhp one to 184bhp from the 320d and add the Servotronic steering. The 184bhp tuned engine is supposed to have better NVH and the servotronic steering is much lighter to use around city. This will make the X1 a little more tempting.

Plus the excellent 8 speed ZF transmission, which is a huge step forward compared to the dull 6 speed transmission in the current car.

Erm....sorry but i am unable to spot the 'facelift' here. Apart the area around the hofmeister kink i am unable to spot any difference as such. What has BMW changed on the exterior with this face-lift ?

Front/rear bumper and the white halo. Maybe 1-2 orange leds on the headlights.

The grill looks bigger, me thinks.

The changes are not apparent in the facelift. However X1 is launched very recently. Why facelift so soon? If it is an engine and transmission upgrade and other changes to BMW , then its thumbs up from my side. BMW is putting latest gen technology in all its cars. that would be great and hope they will bring these updates to India soon.
