These cars go up and down curbs more frequently than you would imagine. Replacing alloys can be a pain in the long run.

So they are gonna phase out the vic's with a new taurus. I wonder why they didn't choose a chevy something instead now that GM 's become Government Motors as far as the USA is concerned.

Is the Caprice still around?

Nope, The Lumina PPV has been launched and offered to the police. Its atually a Holden Commodore built in OZ. V8 with DOD and RWD.

Our police vehicles, Amby to ferry the top brass, Leyland trucks converted to troop carriers, Mahindra jeeps, and our cops, especially the traffic cops down South who used to stand high up on the stands at the intersections and direct traffice with their hairy thighs and khakhi shorts. The good ole days. What has not changed are the paunches on the cops. We need a modern police force with modern equipment and vehicles. Scrap the Hindustan Trekkers and get some serious BHP.
