| Uday Hussein was son of Saddam Hussein. A very notorious man but certainly had an amazing garage. Though most of his cars were destroyed during bombarding by US army. Anyway not here to talk about Uday Hussein or Saddam Hussein, most of us know who they were and what they were famous or infamous for. Wanted to post some pictures of his cars and garage that I found on the internet. Some of the car are in terrible shape and as evident from the pics are used as posing objects by American troops . Some of the cars may have been auctioned or sold or kept in some sort of museum, but certainly most of them belonged to Uday Hussein till he died in 2003. Hussein's Ferrari Testarossa & Porsche 993 Turbo ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() His Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible (Most probably sold now) ![]() ![]() His other Rolls Royce which were found by Iraq police. Reports say that These two Rolls Royce and 3 Other cars including two vintage cars and a Plymouth Prowler, had been stolen from Udai Hussein's palace during the looting after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. For years, the cars were buried beneath the dirt of an orchard in Baghdad's Dora neighborhood. ![]() ![]() The recovered vintage cars & the Plymouth Prowler ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is a horrible sight, some pic of his destroyed Ferrari 550 Maranello ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() His very rare Lamborghini LM002 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() His Mercedes 500k & 500 SEL ![]() ![]() This one I don't know the name, front end looks like a BMW Z8 but its definitely not that as the rear is different, but the rear alloy wheel has a bmw logo. Some pics of the front also remind me of Fiat barchetta, but not sure. Anyway here are the pics ![]() ![]() Last edited by Somu2009 : 11th February 2012 at 11:50. |

| Very rare indeed! Only 328 were produced. This particular LM002 which belonged to Uday Hussein was destroyed in a car bomb simulation at a US military base near Baqubah, after the US invasion of Iraq. It has been mentioned before in the following Team-Bhp thread. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/intern...lly-one-2.html (LM002 - Lamborghini SUV? Is it really the one?) |

| Hurts to the see the Diablo like that, I don't understand. Were these cars damaged during the bunker bombings? The damage seems abnormal. The wheels are missing, they could have burned but the arches aren't damaged. One can tell that theft of parts seem obvious, I would have stolen the Italian engines given the chance! What is the funky looking car, the one with the eagle ornament? Gaddafi had a bunch of those too! Must be a dictator's collector item LOL. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Going a little off topic now but I'm attaching some more pics to show how his bombarded mansion was misused by forces. There was a lot of hatred because of his most of the possessions were destroyed or misused. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | |

| Some more pics of Uday's Collection: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Few more shots of his Jaguar XK8 convertible ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More pics of Saddam's 1935 Mercedes 550k which became a part of Uday's garage later on. Now this car originally with engine #123705 that was ordered on December 5, 1935 by King Ghazi of Iraq after he’d seen a similar car build by Erdman & Rossi at the Barcelona Motor Show of 1935. Ghazi had succeeded his father on the throne just two years earlier at the age of 21. Unfortunately, the reign of the young king was short-lived; he died in a motoring accident only six years later in 1939. It is not known what car he was driving at the time. The unique ‘Sports Cabriolet’ came with single headlights and closed spats. It was delivered to the Daimler Benz headquarters for onward shipment to their illustrious client. Its original color appeared to be cream with green accents. It is a very unusual Mercedes-Benz of 1935-vintage with Erdmann & Rossi body. Together with some more conventional classics it was found in a hidden car park, several levels under the streets of central Baghdad. This car later went to Saddam Hussein when he came to power. | Team-BHP Support ![]() | A lot of the cars apart from those which were directly imported were never paid for. If he fancied a car already in Iraq, you could only hope to be paid. If you asked...... |
