My bad. It looked to me like the leading edge of the bonnet is not in line with the top of the bumper. I guess the light is a bit funny in that pic.

Back to the F12 Berlinetta then. The 740 BHP V12 was talked about in the TG episode this week. It doesn't look that desirable but Ferrari says the Berlinetta is 3.5s faster than the 599 GTB Fiorano around the track with the latter's name.

When Kill Bill was out years ago, I was in love with the sentence, "Ferrari? That Italian trash?"

But come today and am absolutely in love with every new car they make, 458, FF and now this, an instant classic, it may not be as wild looking as the others but in time this will age so much better, and who said you need Carbon Fibre? Ferrari shows how even with it's aluminium space frame the car and it's weight can be low! 1525 KG, is a brilliant weight, and can only wonder how good the F70 will be later this year,

0-200 is 8.5, Cannot wait to test drive,

Regards,

Ferrari reviews need to be taken with about 42 kilos of salt. Chris Harris, one of the most celebrated auto journos blew the whole lid of the farce that is a journalistic review of any new Ferrari - about how they insist on knowing what track you're testing it on so they can tune the car specifically for that track, about how they send not one, but TWO cars to test, about how they send you cars with near-racing spec tyres to enhance road test performance.

Insecure, much?

Here's an excerpt from Harris' expose on Ferrari 'standard' cars which they send as press demonstrators.

"How bad has it been? I honestly don't know where to start. Perhaps the 360 Modena press car that was two seconds faster to 100mph than the customer car we also tested. You allow some leeway for "factory fresh" machines, but this thing was ludicrously quick and sounded more like Schumacher's weekend wheels than a street car. Ferrari will never admit that its press cars are tuned, but has the gall to turn up at any of the big European magazines' end-of-year-shindig-tests with two cars. One for straight line work, the other for handling exercises. Because that's what happens when you buy a 458: they deliver two for just those eventualities. The whole thing stinks. In any other industry it wouldn't be allowed to happen. It's dishonest, but all the mags take it between the cheeks because they're too scared of not being invited to drive the next new Ferrari.
Remember the awesome 430 Scuderia? What a car that was, and still is. One English magazine went along with all the cheating-bull$h|
t because the cars did seem to be representative of what a customer might get to drive, but then during the dyno session, the "standard" tires stuck themselves to the dyno rollers."

I'm not saying this is a bad car... far from it. It's probably fantastic (the polarizing looks aside), but I'm trying to remember a SINGLE bad review I've ever read or watched over the years for a new Ferrari and do you know what? I can't remember a single one.
Are we really naive enough to say that Ferrari have never built a bad car?

Oh yea I remember reading about that. Chris Harris hasn't driven the F12 yet but now owns a 599.

Here's the first wrecked Ferrari F12 Berlinetta . There was one crashed in China before this, but the damages were minor compared to this.

What classy journalism!

However, the truth hurts like nothing else.
No one wants to see that their idols and gods have feet of clay...
So the public will go on believing, as long as it suits them...

Here's full rant by Chris Harris if someone wants to read about it.

True or False, is another days discussion.

Everybody has their own tastes/preferences so I am not trying to sound like I'm Mr.Right, but I have seen a white one this week, and I have seen a white Aventador too.

To be frank I couldn't have told the difference between this and the 499/scaglietti/599 if it wasn't for the front and the venturi in the back.

The aventador looked like something from another planet... whereas to methe F12 didn't look that exotic.

Are there any in India yet ? 55+ billionaires in a nation and not one F12 ?
