Default Ferrari F150 "LaFerrari" - The Enzo Successor!

Yes, Ferrari is coming with the next car from the F-series. The Enzo successor is rumored to churn out 920hp from a 7.3L V12. Gulp!

Details of the long rumored successor to the all conquering Ferrari Enzo have returned yet again. This time they come courtesy of a report by Autoweek that says power on the super-duper car will hit 920hp and it will be called the F70.
According to the report, the majority of the power will be generated by a 7.3-liter V12 engine - a further development of the power plant to be employed in the F620. The F620 aka 620 GT will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
A total of 120 horsepower will also be derived from the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) that is better known for its employment in Formula 1 cars. One thing that must be noted is that the KERS system only gives a power boost for a limited time until the energy is regenerated meaning the Enzo replacement will spend a great deal of time with just 800 horsepower available. It seems a little low, but with a low kerb weight and enhanced driving dynamics, it could be enough.

Talking of weight, the report also states it will set the scales to around 1134kg (2,500 lbs) which is a good dip on its predecessor that comes in at 1,365 kg (3,010 lbs).

If all rumors turn out to be accurate, the new F70 will battle the successor to the McLaren F1 and the Porsche 918.
A rendering,

Its going to shatter all the top speeds and acceleration records i guess, 920bhp and 1134kg is unbelievable stuff. IIRC Veyron was close to 2000kgs.

All this time I was waiting for a new V12 from Ferrari.
After the Aventador, I was even more eager to see what Ferrari will do with its V12 as Aventador is already proving to be masterpiece.

I am really happy to read this news. Something new to dream about.

The rear of the car is nothing like a Ferrari but it looks brute.
Common Scuderia treat us with another masterpiece.

Would be scary fast but IMO this wont be a rival to the Aventador.
The 599 replacement v12 will be the aventador rival.
Would be exciting to see the Aventador vs 599 replacement battles.
Also, with the aventador peaking at 700ps i am really excited to see what the Aventador SV would be like !
Lamborghini Aventador LP-770 SV, anyone ?

Confirmation comes from Montezemolo,

In a recent interview, Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo confirmed plans to unveil an Enzo successor later this year.

He declined to go into specifics, but told Automotive News the model would be shown to a few high-profile clients at a private event. It will eventually have a public debut at the North American International Auto Show or the Geneva Motor Show in 2013.

Little else is known about the supercar, but previous reports have suggested it will feature a 7.3-liter V12 engine and a kinetic energy recovery system (KERS). This could enable the model to have a combined output of 920 hp (686 kW / 933 PS).

Regardless of the final numbers, di Montezemolo hinted it will become the company's fastest and most powerful road car.

I dont see how it could compete with Porsche 918. 918 is a plug in hybrid where as this will be a monster of a machine with that V12.

They will have to go AWD. Firstly to keep the 800 (920) horses under check and secondly for better acceleration. So many horses on only the rear wheels will do nothing except cause a lot of wheel spin and tyre smoke.

There is no way it could be an awd. Its a NO BRAINER that it will be a RWD. They have got a legacy to maintain. Plus RWD is what supercars are suppose to be, AWD kills all the fun.

The door profile is not matching the camouflaged car. Thankfully at that.

I honestly don't havee too much of an issue with the way the F12 Berlinetta looks. But this rendering is just ugly. It looks wierd, especially the middle section!

Default Official : New Ferrari Enzo Hybrid by year end - Montezemolo

Official : Montezemolo confirms new Ferrari Enzo hybrid by year end

Buried deep within the company's recent quarterly financial report comes a confirmation direct from the company's chairman (and possible next Italian prime minister) Luca di Montezemolo : "At the end of the year, we'll also be unveiling the new Enzo, a limited series model and our first ever hybrid car."

So, its gonna be a car with the same V12 engine currently found in the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, but amped up with an electric motor to offer dizzying power!
