Official pictures of the all new 2013 Merc A-Class have leaked and I must say, this is by far the best that came out of the Merc design house after the SLS and new CLS.

The car has transformed itself from a Hatch to a Hot Race Hatch. It looks simply stunning. The stance is that of a race ready car, ready to roll.

If at all it launches in India, it would not come below the 18L tag, and would compete with the Beetle. Let's see.

Nice! Finally a proper hatch to take on the likes of Golf, A3, 1series and Focus.

The outgoing A-class looked too vannish to appeal to the traditional buyer.

This car is also a teaser towards the next gen C Class which is going to be a stunner. I like the new Mercedes Styling and finally they may have found the right kind of aggressiveness to take on BMW.

Yes. But it is a looker, no doubt.

The korean feel is mainly because of the forced waistline, as in most Hyundai designs including i20. And that robs the design off its solid 'built from one piece of iron' feeling the Germans are famous for!

After the weeny looking W168 and W169 models,this car absolutely nails it. The stance and the proportions are spot on. A two door AMG tuned version sounds terrific! Finally something to mull on in this segment apart from the Scirocco and the Giulietta.

Wow! To my eyes, this looks even better than the Concept A that was showcased in many an auto show in the past year. Finally, Mercedes-Benz seems to be dead serious about the entry premium hatchback segment after years of playing around with mediocre models that couldn't hold a candle to competitors from BMW and Audi.

I could notice two different grilles in the above set of pictures - a traditional horizontal-slatted one and the latest mesh-like grille. IMO, the former looks classy, elegant and sporty at the same time.
