A Tornado Chaser's Car

Hi Friends,

Spotted this recently in mid-west, USA. This actually as I understood is a Tornado chaser's modified car. At the flick of a switch the car can further lower itself and can 'CLAW' the ground with "Y" shaped forks to hold on the onslaught. Apparently the car can drive into a Tornado and survive the impact as has bullet proof glass, double fiber hardened body, full underbody protection plates etc etc. I could not believe my eyes on what was inside, fully loaded with 2 ipads, 2 laptops and various weather tracking gizmo's. People veiw this car's presence as not a great sign as these cars are only seen if there is a Tornado close by

I 'sighted' the Dominator on I-96 last July near my town. Luckliy I had already seen it on TV on Discovery, so I did not gawk much and act like I sighted a UFO (or a giant bedbug) like others around me It is built upon the GMC Yukon.

Thanks for the information. The key word is 'encountered', it WAS an encounter for me to see the car in form. Very rugged and armed to the teeth with Weather equipment. My first time seeing such a car
