It is up, but the images aren't coming up, at least for the M3!

I was getting images this morning but it was too slow. I know it's frustrating.

F83 M4 vs E93 M3 Convertible Physical Comparison;

Now this comparo should end the E9x vs F8x looks debate, coz the F8x M4 simply demolishes the previous gen in the looks department, beauty & muscle combo

True that. I always preferred the E9x series over the current gen F3x 3 Series, but this has definitely changed my mind.
But, how exactly would you differentiate the 3 series and 4 series apart from the number of doors? They both look exactly the same!

Thats a good question there, to be honest at the first glance both the 3 series (F30) & 4 series (F32) look exactly similar, but on a closer look there are many differences.

The F32 (4 series) is longer, wider and lower than the F30 (3 series) hence giving it a squat aggressive look.

Dimensionally comparing with F30 3 Series sedan, the F32 4 Series is;

0.7 inches longer
0.5 inches wider
2.7 inches lower
Same wheelbase length
0.3 inches wider front track
0.6 inches wider rear track

Yeah, now it does seem like the 4 series sits much more aggresive than the 3. But I think BMW took the family look a little too far in this case, will end up like the current gen Audis.

But then again, end of the day, both the F30 and the F32 look great

Hi all, 2014 will be the year of ‘M’ models in India, said Mr. Philipp von Sahr, president of BMW India, at the launch of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe. Having launched the M6 Gran Coupe in the Indian market last week, BMW India has plans to launch the M4 and M5 LCI this year.

The new M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe loses the previous generationís normally aspirated V8 for a new 3.0 litre twin turbo inline-6 engine.
The two single-scroll turbos run in parallel, fed with exhaust gases from three cylinders each. Compared to the V8, power is up from 420 hp to 431 hp at 5,390 to 7,000 rpm. Maximum torque sees a significant hike from 400 Nm to 550 Nm, which is now available across a wider rev band of 1,800-5,390 rpm.

The engine revs up to 7,600rpm, which is relatively high for a turbocharged engine. Zero to 100 km/h takes just 4.1 seconds in both the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe, assuming of course you use the seven-speed M DCT twin clutch gearboxís Launch Control.

I just configured a M4 Coupe on the US BMW website - for 66k USD, I get a very well equipped car with a row your own transmission - but some stuff that is now standard on even lower end cars (like a backup camera), is part of 4000$ package! Weird indeed. BMW should just offer all that as standard and keep the packages for the crazy stuff.

Here is the configure link -
BMW M3 Sedan Configure and Build

BMW M4 Couple Configure and Build

Maybe they should just do a stripper car - with just the go fast bits and none of the luxury - i.e., engine, transmission, suspension, steering etc - all BMW M material - interiors like a base 320i.

Will someone please change the thread title?
Both the M3 and M4 look great, but it's the M2 I'm waiting to see!
