Did you know :

1. Oil is dirt cheap in the Middle East, but you have to pay for water.
2. They dont have to pay income tax
3. You have to have an Arab partner with atleast 50% ownership in any business that you start there. So, the Arabs get a cut in every business whether or not they contribute to the capital or running of the business.

May I amend point (2) there (someone has already clarified on 3, thank you very much):

2. They dont have to pay income tax but they have to pay ridiculous rents like about Rs.7 lakhs per year for a tiny 1BHK & 10 lakhs per year for a 2BHK. I'd much rather pay Income Tax.

but why do u forget that the UAE govt takes care of each of the citizen, by doubling their salaries when married....and dont forget all those grants that they get being citizens. (UAE to be in particular).

rule # 3, it is still the reqt, except for free trade zones where the govt sponsors.
