Default The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4SV!

Just a week after the reveal after the LP720-4 at the Shanghai Auto show the Aventador SV is caught on a testing session at the Nürburgring.

The Super Veloce badge denotes the highest-spec version of the breed.

It makes sense, Center-lock wheels. Incredibly low-profile rubber. And the Aventador is at a point in its life cycle where the highest-spec, track day-ready SV variant is all but assured.

The Aventador SV is likely to also come with a revised chassis and more power. (730-740 hp)

Thats quite an interesting front splitter design...

If i was to take a quick glance at this, i wouldn't guess SV.

In fact, the LP720-4 50 Anniversario looks a lot more like an SV to me:

Too early for an SV, going by the hyper low front splitter and central lock rims, I would say they're testing bits for successor of the Murcielago R-GT racecar.

Came across a cool render by wild speed of what could be the upcoming Aventador SV;

Seems to be having the elements of the Jota

That does not look as aggressive an update that an SV would warrant, atleast considering the Murcielago SV. That seems to me to be some sort of special edition or maybe a Aventador modified by the owner or a tuning company.

Arrow Lamborghini Aventador SV - Already?

Usually Lambo take their sweet time with all their cars and special eds usually pop up after the midlife of that specific model, but with the Aventador, within the first three years itself it has spawned so many limited run versions from the J Speedster to the Veneno to the LP720-4 Anniversario.

Now Brian Salamone out of Team Salamone has announced that he will be getting the first Aventador SV.

This is no official confirmation and hence we can only wonder what the specs would be. I'm guessing LP750-4 would be likely.

More on this as it unfolds!

Isn't the SV the last iteration of Lamborghini's flagship car? Wouldn't that mean the SV is at least a few years away if not more?

Atleast a year away.

Clearly this isnt a mass produced Aventador and hence will be limited ed, so the booking amount is just like a waiting list & lucky draw sorts, and as per the source is refundable

Thanks for sharing karan!

I realised something...
Do correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the SV variant of Lamborghinis Flagship only come out at the very end of it's life cycle? Aventador is still pretty new'ish isn't it?

Maky,

True, the SV moniker is usually coined at the end of production run of the flagship Lamborghnis.

Murcielago SV was launched in 2009 and the production of Murcielagos stopped to make way for Aventador in 2011. Also i guess only 350 Murcielago SV's were made.

Also do remember SV variants are most extreme & track focused Lambos and do command a considerable premium over the regular cars. So my guess is Lamborghini is probably launching the Aventador SV early to sell more SV variants or also at the same time may be gain some attention in the hypercar market where the Mclaren P1 & Porsche 918 spyders have taken a lot of applause (not that it needs to as the Aventador order books are full )

Lets wait & watch
