Audi UK has revealed images and information on the forthcoming RS6 Avant Plus. We previously reported on (Head of quattro GmbH) Stephan Reil’s confirmation of the model, and published potential spy shots. However, Audi headquarters in Ingolstadt did not sanction the premature release. Fortunately for enthusiasts, GTSpirit was able to capture screenshots of the uncovered model before the leak was taken down.

The official description featured on the leaked webpage said:

“The RS6 Plus is the latest of Audi’s stunning RS ‘Plus’ models, offering even greater performance and agility than the standard RS6—on or off the track. The RS6 Avant Plus uses a tuned version of the 4.0-litre V-8 TFSI RS6 engine which produces 600 hp—40 more than the RS6.”

600 BHP! I'm simply amazed at the kind of horsepower cars with regular / practical bodystyles make today. Not that we're complaining :D

The 80's supercars (including Ferraris) used to pump out 300 - 400 BHP. In the 90's, we saw cars going over that range, but even till the mid-2000s, supercars like the F430 made ~480 horses.

And here we have a family car that can seat 5, has a great boot, won't overheat in bumper-to-bumper traffic, can be taken on a driving holiday with 4 adults, drop the kids to school, meets all emission & safety regulations.....churning out nearly as much horsepower as the mighty Ferrari Enzo!

Im seriously amazed that the RS variant of the A6 is still only available as a station wagon, And now this the RS Plus.

No doubt the station wagons are popular in the EU but still should be the option & the main variant of the RS must be in a sedan body form.

Still 600 hp so :thumbs up
