NASA's new rocket engine - 2.2 crore Horsepower!
NASA recently tested Ares 1 rocket booster (designed to transport humans to Moon, and eventually to Mars)
It produced a jaw dropping 22 million horses!
To put it into perspective, that's about:
1. Power produced (@ ~7.5 average bhp) by all 30 lac bikes ever registered in Bangalore blazing full power, simultaneously.
2. Jet flame exited at Mach 3!
3. Temperature of the jet stream reached 2500 celsius. That's enough to not just melt steel, but boil it, and dirt was literally roasted to transform into glass!
