Default The Yeti® loves Madonna

There is not one person I have ever met who didn't know who Madonna is.

By any standards, as a young boy, listening to tracks like "Like a Virgin" or "True Blue" is either too prissy or completely gay. But you can't help yourself. You have no reason to love the chameleon they call Madonna, but you just have to.
I am one of the greatest fans that Madonna has ever had.

Those who know me know how much I have followed and love this woman who has only changed her perona and her music everytime I have changed. Unbelievably, it has been 26 years. In 1982 Madonna had her first hit with the single "Everybody" and the world has not stopped looking up to her since.

As Allmusic says
Quote:
After a star reaches a certain point, it's easy to forget what they became famous for and concentrate solely on their persona.

Madonna is such a star.

Madonna rocketed to stardom so quickly in 1984 that it obscured most of her musical virtues. Appreciating her music became even more difficult as the decade wore on, as discussing her lifestyle became more common than discussing her music. However, one of Madonna's greatest achievements is how she manipulated the media and the public with her music, her videos, her publicity, and her sexuality.
Arguably, Madonna was the first female pop star to have complete control of her music and image.
It is a difficult thing to become a star. It is near impossible to stay at the top. I can think of a 100 names of artists/groups whose songs became as famous as "Like a Virgin" and yet, today they neither exist nor care.

You simply cannot not know that Madonna exists.

When modern music took on the turn of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) Madonna was leading the brigade, appointing producers like Mirwais (for Music) and TImbaland, paving a path that most young Popstars follow.

I have never known such a chameleon. When I think of Madonna, I find it impossible to have a singular image. Should I imagine her manic dancing in that Kimono in the video of "Nothing Really Matters"? Should I imagine her, serene and beautiful in the video of "Rain"?

Should I think of her bare breasts in the movie "Body of evidence" or think how she played "Evita"?

Look at her music through the years

When I heard her first single - 4 Minutes, with Justin Timerlake and produced by Timbaland, I knew I was going to love this Rap/R&B style album

And then earlier in this year, Hard Candy was out. I stared at the cover in shock.

Here is what Allmusic said

Quote:
All through her career, it has been impossible to divorce Madonna's music from her image, as they feed off each other to the point where it's hard to tell which came first, the concept or the songs.

Glancing at the aggressively ugly cover to Hard Candy -- its blistering pinks and assaultive leather suggesting cheap bottom-barrel porno -- it's hard not to wish that this is the one time Madge broke from tradition, offering music that wasn't quite as garish as her graphics.
That is not the case. Hard Candy is all brutal hard edges and blaring primary colors, a relentlessly mercenary collection of cold beats and chilly innuendo.
The album was as dirty and enjoyable as I thought it would be. The impossible beginning of Give it to me and the disco charm of The beat goes on.

God I love Madonna.

So 2 months ago while Jenny and I were discussing my usual European Odyssey, she smiled and said
I wanted to get you a surprise, but I'm not so sure if it will work for you.

Huh? What? What's the surprise.

Well, I wanted to get you tickets to a concert that is being planned in Berlin.

Really? Who is playing?
In my head I am picturing German metal or Industrial Gods Rammstein.

Well, you see I want to buy you a ticket, but you will have many guests from India.

Yes love, I am taking every JBL state distributor to Berlin this year. I cannot leave them all and go for a concert. Who is playing?

Madonna, she said with a big grin.

I was stunned. It was a sign. Madonna was playing for one night only in Berlin, at the Olympia Stadium one night before IFA2008 began.

Jenny had to wake me out of my shock. I had already decided I was going to see Madonna. It was a sign, an opportunity and I would not let go.

When I reached the office the next day, I spoke to the sales director. It helps that Sahil is the world's second biggest Madonna fan. In a matter of 1 minute we had decided that we were both going to the madonna show. Jenny could not join us as she would be busy with the booth the night before the show.

But what about all our guests?

In another 5 minutes it was decided that all 13 people would go to the Madonna concert. Yes, everyone.
Tickets needed to be bought immediately, the show was selling out as we spoke.
The tickets were 300 Euros each, this was a big part of the advertising budget, but this is Madonna! Why else do we live and work so hard?

By the next day Jenny had located a great ticket agent, good seats (you could choose from a Map of the stadium) and we got them at a price of 130Euros each. We bought all 13 Madonna tickets, before we had bought plane tickets or got visas for everyone.
The logic was simple, if somebody did not get a visa to come to europe we would have an extra ticket to a Madonna show - how hard would that be to sell off?

Everyone got their visa. This year there will be people from 13 states in India dancing in Berlin to Madonna's live tour. It's called Sticky and Sweet.

I leave tomorrow my friends. Goodbye and I will keep posting about all the cars and the excitement.

Wow! I can well believe that you must be one of Madonna's most ardent fans.
Those album covers are something else. Love their concept and photography and styling.
Except for a couple of songs, one of which is Rain, I personally am not a big fan of her music. But hey, each one to theirs.
But your enthusiasm is infectious!
Two great women together. Your fiancee and Madonna.
Have fun bro and enjoy your once in a lifetime experience.

No... Wait... That was the Sesame Street version!

I see makings of a "Wierd - Like a Surgeon - Al" fan! :-) or maybe Dr. Demento or Shel Silverstein!

Obviously not to be outdone I penned a parody on the parody. Cant remember the whole thing but it went like this...

"Like a Sturgeon
Stuck in a Pantomine
I need no urgin'
to wrap my lips around a hook & line..."

Yeah I wrote bad, cheesy, lyrics. Still do. :-)

Default I'm HERE!

I arrived yesterday morning. Had a long and interesting Swiss air flight. Story later.

We're busy working and setting up for the show, it opens the day after tomorrow.

But... most importantly, the cars are in Take a quick look.

As you know, my knowledge of cars is very limited, but from what I have been told:

You would probably be looking at one of the world's first Audi Q5. We have a collaboration with Audi.

Wow ! Sam bhai keep the pictures coming and certainly you seem to be the most ardent fan of Madonna for sure by the look of the post where you mentioned her albums and keeping track of her journey both in Music and Movies.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. HOTT it sure is! IIRC, the standard 599 is 611 bhp. This one must be modded . The Q5 looks exactly like the Q7! There is no almost difference at all! Just that its smaller.
Great pics Sam. Keem 'em coming!

Keep them coming Sam.

and don't forget to have fun with Madonna and post us pics late in the night my finger is on F5
