woah! those are some really big headlights. not really a fan of the looks of the new one. lets hope though that performance-wise, it can match up to its predecessors.

Looks like a Touareg from the back. Front reminds me of the macho old Land Cruiser, especially the picture featuring its front fender and headlight

Cant afford not to - the vehicle is commonly referred to as 'The King of The Desert' (arabic and english) here and not as the Landcruiser - Toyota therefore cannot take any chances with this one.

Man, the beast is HUGE! In typical LandCruiser tradition, it sure lives up to its name. In addition to the aggressive front end treatment, I especially like the clean and uncluttered lines. Some replies on that topic have said that it looks boring...but to me, simple proportionate designs are the best.

Toyota has gone out of creativity,
LC seems to be on steroids and rear tries to become very cayenne-ish
front donno where it came from
though a giant but very disappointed

I doubt this is the "New" Landcruiser. From the look of it, its just a face-lifted one. The entire cabin area is the same. Only the lights and grille have changed. And the interiors.

And whats with the lights jutting out of the body???

Thumbs down

Unfortunately, Toyota has messed up the new Land Cruiser, the pictures in this post are of the new model. It is out in the UAE and there are many on the road as well. The front seems to be a little overdone with the bulging headlights and the rear is just not worth even mentioning.

They had a good thing going with the previous design, this one is just bad.

Its the new style ..the 4RUNNER/Highlander & the Landcruiser have similar head & tail lights. Pathetic!

Thumbs up Some pics!

I dunno if I am just the odd one out here. But I feel the new design looks good. It maybe a matter of tastes or true love!
I am talking about this one:

@ RPMPKDMFF ..

this post was was started on 20th September 2006 ..

the new design is pretty good .. just a few changes from the previous model .. but it has a few good features like crawl control and stuff which helps out while stuck in soft sand .. and loadsa other features as well plus its giving people an V8 engine option on the GXR range of models as well and lots more .. thing is .. it will take time for people to get adjusted to the new-er look because we have been used to seeing the same shape for the past 10 years .. even in 1998 when the last model was released it was declared as looking flat or boxy in comparison with its predecessor .. its just a matter of time ..

The new one looks alright. Do check out the review on Fifth Gear in their last episode. Looks like even Top Gear might have a review in their upcoming season.

Looks like a Mitsubishi.

I think the power of the vehicle will be good for it's size and weight.
