Default SEAT and Cosmopolitan magazine launch "a car for women"

Spanish car manufacturer SEAT and fashion magazine (yep) Cosmopolitan have just launched a car that has been designed for women.

It's small, purple -- and some find it offensive.

Car manufacturer SEAT and lifestyle publication Cosmopolitan are facing backlash over a brand new car for "women" that was jointly unveiled at Cosmopolitan's FashFest event in London on Friday.

The result of a collaboration between the manufacturer and the magazine, the SEAT Mii comes complete with jewel-effect rims, a handbag hook, and "eyeliner headlights" that are "emphasized in the same way as make-up emphasizes the eye," according to the manufacturer.

How incredibly stupid. I don't see how there's anything 'woman-centric' about this car. Handbag hook? 100 bucks in the after-market. Give me 25,000 rupees and I'll convert a Thar into a better "car for women".

They've taken quite a beating on Twitter. Also, don't miss Jalopnik's colourful article + comments . Including this:

And then, with the launch of such women centric cars, men would be wondering to enter Car Spas without reading a board that says "unisex" or these car spas will make their presence felt by having exclusive for Women and Men set-ups!
