Default Shouldnt this have been the new Mercedes CL

I was going through some of the ugly/modified pictures of the SEMA show and came accorss this..

its a choped S Class with the S back and the S front and the side profile similar to the older CL....

I think this would have looked awesome, not that the new CL is not nice, but it could have done better with the back...

I think this rocks too and if someone has the money why not just spend it and get this..

forget the matt color and all the crappy wheels and mods...just look at the shape..

The first-gen CLs looked much like the S.
The second had the tailights, slight side-profile.
This new one is only similar when it comes to the centre-console/instrument cluster, seats, etc.

The rendered image above makes it look SO much more meaty. I love it.

Its not a rendered image, its an actual car made for sema by some customiser..

its a little longish, but i guess the next time around they can correct that and it would make for an awesome one off car..

well i guess the new gen CL is the best it can get...infact is looks much better than the new S too...
even though the above pic would also make a good looking CL ..but just that after looking at the new gen CL...ill put my money(if i had it!) on it without a secind thought.

totally agree with CW here, its CL all the way. the only S class that appealed to me was the box design (dont remember the year but the one Clooney used in Peacemaker). that was awesome.

if they put the 221 rear end on the 216 it would look better. like the 215/220 they will look different from the front but share the same taillights. since people are complaining about it's blandness.

ot: i saw a video somewhere of a 140 s-class coupe with a 7.3 v12. now that is hotness.
