Thanks for the links vid... absolutely mind blowing piece of machinery!
We have new entrant into my fantasy garage... this one in red (one of the rare occassions when I picked red over black... ferraris would be the other)!

I have been reading only positive stuff about this car. But has it really transformed into equally good sales? that's the question one should ask.

I like the "nose cut off" design of the front grille/bumper.. This is truely an evolution and a revolution rolled into one.

Thumbs up

Even the new Lancer out in Canada is based on the Evo X. Unfortunately we don't get the evo here. Check out the price for such a nice looking car. Wonder when they'll launch the new Lancer in India.

sigh! guess can add this to my list of "must have's"! :( It looks awesome, and like the article says "the new engine will deliver a healthy 320bhp, with around 440Nm of torque." I like the way they have placed the word "healthy" next to 320 horses!

I prefer the concept. Wish those mirrors made it to the production version.

details of the mechanicals.

Mitsubishi has released details on its upcoming Evolution X, including information about its S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) drive system and its dual clutch manumatic system, Twin Clutch Sport Shift Transmission (SST). Mitsubishi has previously announced that the the Evo X will be powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder MIVEC4 motor.

The S-AWC system will include a bevy of acronyms: ASC (Active Stability Control), ACD (Active Center Differential), AYC (Active Yaw Control) and Sport ABS, an ABS system designed for aggressive driving. The biggest difference over the outgoing car is the large number of yaw sensors included in the system, all designed to keep the Evo X on its intended path.
The Twin Clutch SST appears similar to Audi/VW's DSG system; even and odd gears are on separate clutches for rapid-fire shifting. The system will have three modes, Normal, Sport and S-Sport, the latter providing the most aggressive, fast shifts

By the way guys the Evo X will feature the Dual Clutch Gear Shifting and probably will not have pure manual transmission as an option.

Well I eat my words...edmunds.com states it will be offered in a 6-speed manual tranny as well.
