Default Oh my , I just hope this is what the new 2010 5 series looks like(rendering from AMS)

Check this out, this 2010 rendering looks really nice, a nice touch from the current 3 series, the CS concept to make a really cool looking sedan, I am not too found of the over all design of the current 5, even though it looks nice from some angles, this one out does it in my humble opinion..check it out..

New 2010 5 Series rendering in WorldCarFans.com

With a little improvment in the tailight design, it would be a great looker i think..

That's a beautiful front 3/4 view. The taillamps look bland. Quite Jap if you ask me.

This is exactly what a Bimmer should look like in the modern times. Takes most BMW details into the future.

@1day this was what I was talking about in a previous thread of the 8-series concept.

HUGE S-Class influences. It will look dated by 2010, especially compared to the S, which will be a year away from a new generation by then (I would guess).

Err v1p3r, where do you see the S Class influence?

And this is supposed to be the new 5, not 7 series.

You expect the S Class to get refreshed in 2011? I was under the impression nothing before 2013 as a 2014 MY and I think this 5 series is going to be a 2010 early 2011 MY, but then again who knows..

And also this is 5, E class competition..E class is being replaced in 2009 i think..

You guess wrong. Internationally the standard life span for such models is around 7 years or so and considering that the 220 was introduced in 1999 and replaced in 2006, I would expect the current gen to be replaced in 2013 or so.

Yup, it's due to be replaced in 2009.

Headlamps, the way they peel back. General front end first impression. Rear three quarters view too. Only the wide body effect of the S is missing. Slap on some arches and you'll see.

I apologise. However, I thought that the lifespan is about 6 years, and seeing as how I remember deliveries of the 220 S started in 2000, and the 221 in 2006, 2011-2012 would seem about right for the next one to start peeking out.

I feel the back (esp.) the tail-lamps look out of place on a German car. Too ordinary. But the front 3-q is great!
