Car loks great, front looks (grille) a bit like logan, headlights are similar to petra and octy. Seems to be strong, and it sticks to conventional looks.

Seems its Peugot with interiors designed by Rover and the only anti-imperialist contribution is it put it togather and call it 'samand'. I love how these 'anti-american' countries try to be self-sufficient by doing everything themself only to end up selling rebadged foreign products.

I just checked out their website. Very impressive Website - one would relate it to something made in Iran. Check out the Gallery too - this Samand thing looks a lot better than our Logan and Indigo.

Welcome to "Iran Khodro Industrial Group" Web Site

And what do you know - some of the models come with GPS, MultiMedia Interactive Screens, et al!

the car looks functional - the first batch of 227 cars were handed over to the recent graduates of the military academy. Sometimes, I wonder if creativity is stifled so much in such countries. They can't design a contemporary car? or is it that they want something that will sell, and hence design something that already exists.
