I'm kind of more particular t owards the older ('80's and early 90's models) of the LC, Patrol and Pajero - both LWB and SWB. Crossovers and softroaders never really appealed to me that much - not that I'll ever need more offroading ability but somehow the squared off looks and no plastic in sight on an 87 LC turns me on more than a Cayenne

Indian ones ? - Mahindra Army (btw the Mahindra RAM 2000 makes a good desi Hummvee),
Gypsy, Endeavour and the Trax.

I am not an SUV person. I believe SUVs are for the ladies. Atleast that is the way it is in the US. And I carried that baggage over to India.

For me, SUVs suck big time.

To Speed and Scuderia,

You do not have to agree with me. I am not an off-road person. So SUVs do not make sense to me at all. As I mentioned earlier it is a bit of emotional baggage I carried over from the US. Over there it is tha ladies that drive SUVs as those vehicles give them a sense of security.

The closest thing I like are the trucks like the Dodge RAM etc. In India it will be the Tata 207. With trucks, you are talking mateys.

Just my personal opinion.

1. Hummer H1 - I just want a HUMMER!!!
2. Lincoln Navigator - I think someone has mentioned the pros of this MONSTER, and I couldn't agree more.
3. LM 002 - The badging says it all. This is one RAW BEAST.
4. LandRover Freelander - Love its styling, for some peculiar reason...
5. Mahindra Classic, with a different(duh, more powerful) engine.

How much would it cost to et a Classic and change the engine to, say, a Scorpio one??
