actually its a good idea pu forward by rehaan. but i guess it isnt needed. the hard top cud easily be fitted inplace of the soft top. It'll need some heavy mods though fixing the motors etc.

I guess making the hardtop go in behind is possible but V12 if you notice the rear engine cover in the hardtop and Spider right now are different. The Spider has a flat engine cover while the Berlinetta has a sloping engine cover which is also the *rear glass unlike the SL which has a proper boot and a seperate rear glass. Now what could be a solution to that ? Maybe its just the roof thats folds into two and goes in the place where the soft top goes now. That means the engine cover will have to be flat in all Modenas..

Cheers

Ummm.....
whats that new ugly yellow chevy retro/pickup truck type thing called?...... the only nice thing about it is its folding roof which is slightly curved and 2-peices...so one fits concentrically into the other..and then they slide/store vertically in between the cabin and the deck (cabin and the engine in the 420s case)......thats a possible way of solving the problem.

How about making it Targa? That way u'd solve the problem of the roof as well as have some wind in ur hair experience.

Also Targas are dynamically more stiffer than convertibles. Makes economic sense too.

Heres what i was talking about - the Chevy SSR

http://www.chevrolet.com/ssr/

click on the 360* exterior view... and then click on that white sphere above the headrests to animate the roof.

cheers

I don't know why. But I really love the 612. It looks neat and different.
And no I don't think it looks a bit same as the Schigera.

Ferrari is gonna use the Maserati 4.3 V8 for the new Modena.

Whats goin on?? First Maserati uses the Ferrari engine for the MC12. Now FErrari will use the MAserati 4.3 V8 for its new Modena. Guess after some years they'll start using the 1.2L inline-4 of the Fiat Uno. .....lol.....llol
