i think there is a larger thought than just selling mad priced cars. I think after audi bought lambo over. . .they tamed them down. . . .I think this is a statment by audi saying that guys we have not tamed the bull. . its still wild, unpracticall, difficult to drive and above all . .. . exotic in every means.

my dear friend, it would be worth it if you have extra money to splurge. this would sound good to the super rich. i do not disagree. but rational thinking does not see it worth it at all. for $700,000 i could get myself another car as well. so is it worth the extra 20 bhp for this amount and that too 20 cars with the same colour. i did also mention that the least they could have done is allowed the owners to choose the colours of their choice.

the reventon is a joke...I dont know what lambo was thinking when they came up with this one....8 out of the 20 people have already cancelled their orders after seeing HP gains....

Please provide the source of the article where you read this. 8 cancellations isn't possible since the 20 were confirmed orders way before the car was even launched. The 20 were for loyal customers, friends, etc..

A weird stunt by Lamborghini on the 9th June 2008 to "explore" the extraordinary timescales and design and production abilities demonstrated by Lamborghini in producing the Reventon. The city of Turin looked to the sky today to see the new heights achieved by Lamborghini. The Lamborghini Reventon was carried by military helicopter over Turin, thanks to the special co-operation of the Marina Militare Italiana (the Italian marines). It landed on the rooftop of the Lingotto building, and closed a conference hosted by Lamborghini, entitled ”Lamborghini and speed – a project in record time”.


The conference was attended by local, international and academic VIPs including representatives from the automotive industry.conference was part of the “Turin 2008 – World Design Capital” programme of events.

Thankfully it didn't fall down!
