Ferrari F40-Lamborghini Countach-Porsche 959. - Team-BHP

Was reading a book on the history of lamborghini and the car that made them who they are today.The countach.

Ferrari have their iconic f40.Which was their fastest while it was in production.

And then you have porsche with their 959,packed with technology and one of the first to have an all-wheel drive system.

These are undoubtedly the 3 greatest supercars of all time.But if you had to choose one,which would it be and why?

As for me,Lamborghini rules!

In terms of performance, the 959 and the F40 would leave the Countach for dead around a track. You must remember, the Countach is a generation older. Lamborghini went through numerous ownership changes and financial crises, and was unable to develop a newer model for 16 years.

Track killer - Ferrari F40. Daily driver - Porsche 959. Saturday night wheels/boulevard cruiser/lookatme car - Always

With a name like LP5000 Quattrovalvole Anniversario Edizione, it could be a roll of yellow toilet paper, and you'd still buy it.

My Favourite Lamborghini would be the Miura followed by the Murcielago.

But in this trio, I would choose the 959 for its all round capabilities, as the F40 was more of a track special.

Ya,but the other two looked oh-so-much better for their time.
But then again,looks are subjective .. then again,Im dead against porsches.

I dont think any of us have actually driven these cars to comment but on sheer image and looks Id go for the Countach. Lambos somehow have this evil image to them that somehow really appeals to me. Ferraris are too mainstream.

Would be the 959 for me anyday! A Porsche while really shamed the Ferrari's/Lambo's of that era! (Not that it's any different now!)

Good poll. Long time since we had some bench-dreaming on Team-BHP. From this list, it is undoubtedly the Ferrari F40 for me...an iconic car which was created by an equally iconic personality (and in the evening of his life!). 478 BHP in a car that weighs a little over a tonne resulted in the fastest car of its time!

Next time, add the 288 GTO too and watch the poll swing in its favour.

It was the most difficult desicion i had to take for a very long time. For me, it had to be between the countach and the 959. And one look at the red demon in viper's post, and i was sold to the mighty countach, right away. Love it to the core.

It's hard to choose between ferarri and porsche for me but I think it would be F40
