Default Hyundai Genesis 'Sedan' - A Clone of all cars you can think of

So whilst surfing the internet for 78th Geneva motor show, I came across the line which said Hyundai to Premiere Genesis. From past experience as Hyundai always launches its cars first in the USA I decided to give that website a click. And hurray see what I found - The Hyundai Genesis 'Sedan'

Hyundai | Genesis

But the excitement didn't last long as I could clearly see the Genesis a clone of all possible 'big' sedans .. i.e the grill matches (actually the entire front) that of the new 'C' class, the head lights from an angle are analogous to that of a 'Saab' and the angular cut to the rear lights (on the boot section) give it a '3 series' cult.
No doubt the car is cool (not to me though) but it just drives down the enthusiasm of the concept we have been seing for some time now, with the explanation - 'The concept never looked like this, did it?'

Other Hyundai vehicles that are Akin (to my knowledge) are
Sonata - Erstwhile Honda Accord
Elantara - Toyota Corolla (old version)
The new i30 - BMW 1 Series (from the back)

When will Hyundai grow up with its own designs? No wonders they sell poorly in the UK, inspite of their unbeatable 5 years warranty. Damn sister KIA sells more than them, with their European designs

Damn. I didnt know this. I thought other manufacturers did stuff like this - for instance I drive a car that has a Kia Amanti front end and a Hyundai Sonata rear.

hyundai guys have always been short on original ideas..hopefully atleast they are getting better at mixing and matching from other models. The design team of hyundai is sure making some easy money.

yeah or may be the designers are paid to hopp around and sketch what they see, which then would translate on their final designs.

When I saw it's pic for the first time it reminded me of the Camry.

Looks more like the previous Infiniti which was based on Maxima. The specifications look great. Atleast they are coming out with new variations (unlike Acura which doesn't seem to wakeup from their dreams)
