Post 2008 Dubai Arab Run

'A prestigious sports car event attracting the very best super cars, Arab Run is a thrilling combination of fast, expensive & luxurious cars, adventure seeking drivers, great entertainment and above all a journey that cuts across many great locations and exciting cities.' - arabrun.com

Saw them at the flag off, got a few of the pictures. Will get some more if possible. Two of the favorites were the Veyron & the Carrera GT

This looks like Dubai, Shiekh Zayed Road. Is it the ENOC pump behind Chelsea Towers?

This is not Sheikh Zayed road! This look like the road near Jumeriah.

Notice that , in the photo with the car number 38, at the background there is a large pole. I believe that is the pole which has the largest UAE flag hosted on top of it. The road on the left from there comes from Irani Hospital.

RFMPKDMFF, please correct me if I am wrong.

WOW!! Is this like the Dubai version of Gumball? We really should have something like this in India. Like a Mumbai-Goa run or something.

Yes, that suspicious pole looks like the flag pole on Jumeirah Beach Road, near the dry docks. Anyways, thats another fav road for rippers and drag racers. I still remember the sweet sound of exhaust from those Porsches, BMWs, Ferraris

This was at the ENOC gas station on Diyafah Street, it links Jumeirah Beach Road down to Shaik Zayed Road and is known for the late night cruisers. HappyWheels, you are right own with the whereabouts

This is pretty much the same as the Gumball, just the Arab version with lesser cars, last year they had only around 60 and I think this year they managed a little more. The entry fee to this event is AED10,000... 2 people per car and full access to the Drag Strip in UAQ and the nightclub afterparty.

The entrants had a special something this year, the Bugatti owner threw out a challenge to race any and all cars at the drag strip in UAQ

Doubt if there would have been any competition for the Bugatti!

Couldn't make the trip down to UAQ to find out due to family commitments, but I don't think so too... but it also amounts to the driver's contribution as well, lets just hope the driver of the Veyron actually knew how to use it to the fullest.

I hope he did, else he's end up ruining his $1.2m ride! Like the guy in the UK,who totalled his Veyron on a wet road.

Wow some nice cars. Really liked the Corvette and the Cadillac. They've got some decent American cars over there.
