Default Classic cars in Jeddah

Classic car seen in Jeddah, it is for sale. This is Dodge 1953 Caronet model, seems to be imported from USA. It has nice dash with all accessories, stereo system, speakers, side view mirrors can be adjusted
from inside, lovely car! Will load more photos if anybody is interested.

. Please load all you can and more.
Thanks for the lovely pics.
That Coronet is something else but i think its a 1954 and not a 53 as in 53 the front grille was slightly different and thats a 1968 Impala. Looks like an SS.

Hi JayD,

I don't know how to bring these cars to India. But I think if
customs or rules become easier in India and affordable, there are plenty of cars, all of us like it and love to own it. Jeddah has lot of cars, you can assume as 5 cars for 1 person, there are lot of cars and some time it is cheaper than in India.

It is easy to import cars from USA or Europe here by ship and taking
out from here also not difficult, you have to fill formalities then you can
take it or shipped to country you like. But the problem in India, if customs
duties were removed for old cars then here you will find lot of interesting
cars lying around. Fords, Buicks, Chevrolets, were cheaper for example
80's-90's car cost around SR. 5000 - SR. 10000/= in good condition.

Car Auctions were held every Thursday & Fridays called Haraj, where used
cars were auctioned, once I have seen 1983 Cadillac were sold for SR.7000/= in very good condition, Alfa Romeo small car SR. 3000/=.

Hi V16,

Both cars were really nice, my father used to have similar
Dodge later model in Madras, I don't remember much as I was kid then.

This Dodge 1953 Caronet, it is automatic and small indicator above
steering showing Gears indicator as used to be in American cars,
but it used to be inside dashboard. I tried to take snap of dash.
This Dodge is not very long like other American cars, it is slightly
longer than Ambassdor, small and beautiful car.

Impala is also classic nice, I tried to peak inside seems fittings
were loose need small fix. It is pleasure driving American cars, I still
have Chevrolet Caprice 1986 bigger than this Impala, since 1997.
It is safe, pleasure driving it and very reliable car.

Attaching some more pics:
1. Dodge Dash
2. Impala Front
3. Impala Dash

Regards,

I love the Caprice. Classic bad a** American cop car, and some cops ever prefer it today over the newer Crown Victorias and Doge Chargers.
