They will go for lots of money. For instance UK Radio Jockey Chris Evans paid Pounds 5.6 Million for a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California. A 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is expected to beat this record this year in the RM Auction. Let's see if this happens since the World economy is in deep recession.

I was reading up some more about the auction and among the cars up for sale is Alain Prost's 1990 season Ferrari 641/2 chassis #121!

(Link : Alain Prost's fated Ferrari 641/2 F1 car under the hammer at Maranello auction)

The car has a lot of history behind it and is probably priceless for an F1 fan like myself. Though I dont have the means of buying it.
Perhaps a Team-bhp fund will help?

Default RM Auctions to offer a '58 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa at Monterey Auction!

The '58 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is one of the rarest race-bred Ferraris ever! Only 21 cars were produced between 1957-1958. Last May, one of these cars was sold for $12.4 million by RM Auctions. Another one with a serial number 0738 TR will be presented at RM Auctions’ 25th anniversary Sports & Classics of Monterey event in August, making it the most significant and valuable motor car ever offered during Monterey’s collector car auction week.

0738 TR was raced for several seasons in South America under the Esquardari Largatixa banner where it recorded a number of successful finishes. For the past 14 years its current owner, a gentleman racer, has extensively campaigned 0738 TR in its yellow and green Brazilian racing colors, recording numerous wins and podium finishes at the world’s most prestigious historic racing events.

This rare Ferrari 250 TR is joined by 22 other exceptional vintage Ferraris in Monterey, including 1959 Ferrari LWB California Spyder (Est. $2,750,000 – $3,250,000), a rare 1959 Ferrari 410 Superamerica (Est. $1,600,000 – $2,200,000), a fully-restored 1957 Ferrari 250 Pininfarina Spyder Series (Est. $1,600,000 – $1,900,000); and a 1966 Ferrari 500 Superfast (Est. $800,000 – $1,000,000).

Would have been interesting to see if this car would sell for more (and how much more) if it was RED!

Very well said.

A Ferrari specially these rare models should be in red.

Had seen an episode on Fifth Gear where a Auction of all models of Ferrari cars was taking place.
People could even buy a racing seat which had a gold-leaf at the bottom to keep the heat away.

That's quite interesting and intriguing, Rehaan! I'm sure the price figure would've gone up by quite a lot if it was clad in Rosso Corsa!

OT: Oh yes I'd seen that as well, on Discovery Turbo of course. In fact, that seat was Michael Schumacher's very own Ferrari F1 bucket-seat that was bought by the Fifth Gear team for around six thousand pounds!
