| BHPian | Dacia has finally updated the Logan sedan. No changes in the body shell, but overall looking much better than the original. Exteriors: New front/rear bumpers, grille with a chrome lip, headlamps/tail lamps, boot with a built in spoiler plus a chrome lip, door RVMS. Interiors: A generation ahead of the original. New dashboard, door pads, seats, centre console, gear console with a better fit and finish quality. IMHO, The Renault version will be carrying a different grille, like the Renault Sandero (the last pic). Now, lets hope Mahindra brings the updated Logan ASAP. Also, this car is not the Logan II, of which spy pics were posted earlier. p.s. Once its here, I'll be the first one to get the interiors upgraded! Also, the reason for posting in the Indian car scene section is that Mahindra has already said that it will bring in the updated Logan sooner or later, the question is when. | The front grill reminds me of the New Accord. Its hightime Mahindra Renault brought in minor changes to the Logan. They should launch the Next Gen Logan by 1st quarter of 2009 before Dzire 's waiting period is reduced. ![]() ![]()

| Not much difference except the front grille, isn't it? Anyways, the hatchback looks way better IMO. Would be great if they can price the hatch to Getz level!

Yes, if the price remains same and the new look arrives, it certainly going to be tough for others and specially Indigo. What is really bad is that most of the times the equipment removed happen to be safety equipment. Quote:
Ok, even if there is not much difference, it still does make a difference to the looks of Logan. It will surely be appreicated here in India if there is timely update. Correct, the hatchback looks good and can give Indica, Swift, getz some tension along with i20 in the future. If they launch the hatch, then becasue of platform sharing the price will be low and it will have lots of space.

| The Indian Logan has fairly high import content. If the JV hasn't invested in dies and tooling for body panels, changing the model in India would be that much simpler. Anyone in the know whether the body panels are imported or made locally? |
