What really puzzles me is why a 60 minute TG episode and a 2 hour movie weigh the same 700MB.
Logically, it should be around 350MB unless it is super 2000 HD ,blah blah quality.

Its because the 2 hour movies with 700 mb are not that great quality.
Usually Decent Quality(read Good ) are 700 mb!

thats because the data rates change. we can differentiate the saturation, brightness, contrast etc though dimensions may not change. Also sound quality changes (kbps)

btw current season will last only for 9 episodes. thats sad. I want it to keep on going forever. why do they have to stop such entertaining shows (one season = 9 episodes only!!!) when they never end boring soaps.

The GT-r vs the Public Transport was an excellent and hilarious one

The Mask used by clarkson
Hammond and May seperated
Clarkson switches off the Sat-Nav
the run to the statue.

Awesome Episode
Hope the rest ones are also good.

That is because of standard ripping rules followed by the release group.
A 40 min (1hr) US TV episode is 350 Mb
Films longer than 110 mins are 2 CD's
plus many more...
British shows are bigger at approx 60 mins so they just went for the next size. You can re-encode a 60 min episode to about 420 Mb without loosing quality, but then that is not a standard size, so they dont bother

I really enjoyed yesterday's episode, esp Jezza's Mercedes 600. My only question is - what is a Grosse? I have heard of the SWB and Pullman versions but never the Grosse version. Anything make this special?

If I ever were to trade my 190c for another classic MB Sedan, this would be it.

Yea even i didnt understand that Grosse thing. All I can think of is this.
In French, "grosse" is BIG. So i am sure instead of saying MB Pullman, He just said Big. Because it is a BIG car!! Jezza's Jokes??? I think so!!

Of late, the newer episodes look like Hollywood productions, with the script pre-decided.

Liked the GTR's run on the Fuji Speedway, and how it broke "someone's" neck.

And James May and Clarkson at their best, with the Corniche and the 600.

What do you mean, of late? All the episodes are scripted and pre-decided.
Has been from the start.

As in Jeremy Clarkson used to write a lot of his own scripts, including most of the jokes, but now it just looks like they have a permanent scriptwriter like they have in a movie production.
