Spied: 2010 Suzuki Kizashi sedan

The one you have shown is the Kizashi 1 concept and there is also the Kizashi 3 concept pictures shown in the same thread, the Kizashi 3 is a more production real version of the concept shown. The car being tested is the final production version, will mostly look close to Kizashi 3.

I seriously doubt that the production version will look even a little bit like the concept.

But good design nonetheless. Guess Suzuki are going the Toyota way. Invade North America and become the largest selling carmaker in the world.

The Kizashi 3 concept is awesome, some carried from the BMW and really looked equal to the BMW in length, however the scoop picture seems a little bit shot. It will be a hit in India, should compete with Corolla, Optra, & Civic.

The Suzuki Kizashi could well be the most important model in the brands history, we generally associate the Japanese company with motorbikes, small cars and small SUVs but with the development of this all-new mid-size sedan, we see Suzuki is looking to move into one of the most competitive areas in the market.
Suzuki began the long term development process with a set of three concept: Kizashi 1, Kizashi 2 and Kizashi 3, each received a positive response from the media as well as the public which inevitably led to the confirmation of a full production version.
The model caught here is still wearing a thick layer of black clad camouflage but we can still spot a few interesting details. The front fascia appears to have retained much of the aggression from the final Kizashi concept, the diagonal criss-cross grille and large lower air intakes lay testament to this fact. Under the hood we expect to find a 3.6-liter V6 boasting a power output of around 300hp, there is likely to be a four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine made available as well.
The Suzuki Kizashi will be built in Sagara, Japan and will arrive in US dealerships in early 2010, where it will battle against the likes of the Toyota Camry, Chevrolet Malibu and the Mazda 6.

Hey dude, if you look at the close up snap of the front grill there you see a Trishul image which is covered I think its something from maserati, but cant say these guys might have created something to fool us..

Suzuki is heading into crowded territory with a sporty mid-size entry dubbed, Kizashi. With segment gobbling competitors such as Toyota's Camry, Honda's Accord and the Mazda 6, the Kizashi has its work cut out. However, it's not like Suzuki is suddenly jumping into the deep end before learning how to swim.

Suzuki started a long “feeler” process starting with not one, but three Kizashi concepts. The first concept debuted in Frankfurt - September 2007, the second in Tokyo - October 2007 and third in New York - March 2008. All concepts received positive reaction from the media as well as the public, and finally convinced the company known for its motorcycles and small affordable cars and SUV's to approve production.

As stated in earlier releases, Suzuki is planning to power its new flagship sport sedan with a 3.6-liter DOHC V6 engine delivering up to 300 hp. There is also likely to be a four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine made available as well.

Following Kizashi images spied early last month, here are the latest images taken in the American desert. Nothing new to see on the outside, but the some interior shots were partially thwarted by some fast thinking clipboard action by a Suzuki engineer.

The Suzuki Kizashi will be built in Sagara, Japan and will arrive in US dealerships in early 2010.

spy photographers from kgp caught the kizashi sedan around Nurburgring. i tought it will look as good as the kizashi 3 shown in New York auto show. its really toned down. its likely to be powered by 3.6 ltr v6 with AWD or 4 cylinder with front wheel drive.

does any one see the swift dzire rear and bangle butt incorporated in the boot of the car or is it me.

The Suzuki Kizashi concept was unveiled to the public amid much fanfare at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. Thereafter Suzuki showed us the Kizashi 2 crossover concept and then finally culminating into a sedan version known as the Kizashi 3 concept. Breaking past concept form the sedan was approved for production as seen in these spy pictures taken while the vehicle underwent testing.

Sadly the Japanese company has shelved production plans for the car, no thanks to market pressures that are depressing sales in the auto world at the moment. Suzuki CEO Osamu Suzuki had, as early as September 2008, hinted at the idea of canning Kizashi, saying how little sense it makes to sell such a car in such a market, especially in the segment where the Kizashi would play with its 3.6-litre V6 flagship model.

Meanwhile, Suzuki's plans for plants in Thailand and Russia have also been frozen. Even investment plans in the company's India market where it commands a market share of about half, have been cut.

Reports of the premature death of the Suzuki Kizashi are apparently... premature. After a story surfaced yesterday detailing Suzuki's cancellation of its mid-sized sedan program, the scribes at Automotive News went to the source to get the details. Suzuki spokesman Jeff Holland told AN, "The production version will debut at this year's New York auto show in April." So there. When the Kizashi concept was revealed at last year's New York show, it garnered a fair amount of praise thanks to the sedan's swooping lines and road-hugging proportions. The Kizashi has been spied doing laps around the Nurburgring and for a mainstream mid-size sedan that can't be a bad thing.

I think Suzuki has a winner here. They shouldn't cancel it. Maybe just roll out lesser cars. Or am i being too selfish?

I think that is what I have posted that the news about Suzuki Kizashi being canceled is exaggerated.

I have first posted the news that said the car being canceled and in next post, I have posted a link that says the car is coming to NY show. And at the NY show, its going to be production version.
