Brazilians are sooo lucky!! They seem to get the best Fiat cars launched over there.

FIAT, do not launch this here in India. You will screw this also and more-over indian car market is not matured to accept this kind of vehicles. Launch it only if you are gonna price at 5-6lakhs.

That's true with affordable prices too. I always wanted to fit the roof-rack of Idea Adventure and not Palio Weekend Locker onto my Palio 1.6 Sport. WIth this roof-rack, palio looks are mean and will outstand anyone in the traffic.

BTW, any idea of weight of this roof-rack ?

Whoa it looks killer, if priced well it could be a hot seller but then again estates & low height suvs have never done well in India.

Yes. Not from the clubpalio site though.

Prices in Brazil range from R$ 39,920 (about US$ 24,000) for the basic version, ELX 1.4 Flex, to R$ 53,850 (little less than US$ 32,500) for the Adventure Locker 1.8 Flex. ABS and airbags are not included…

ELD:
The system, called ELD (Electronic Locker Differential), has been developed with Eaton and can only be activated when the car is stopped and. ELD is usable only until the car reaches 20 km/h, when it is automatically turned off. The system, as it is obvious, cannot be used in normal driving conditions.

I own a GTX since 2001 and service/spares experiences over the years have led me to believe I'd never buy a Fiat again.

If this beauty were launched in India however, I'd have to change my mind and me among the first to put my money down. IF they launch it, and IF they launch it with the 1.9 JTD.

That's a very fresh and butch looking crossover station wagon. Could change the image of Fiat in India.

C'mon, adding a LSD doesn't make it an offroader. An off-roader needs to have minimum 4WD and high/low gear option. Most Indian off-roaders don't have LSD.

forget GP, Linea et al, this beast is tailor made for india, esp with the 1.9L MJD, priced at approx 8-9L, this is going to rock!

Launch it and I will be one of your first customers.....
I have serious doubts about this car being launched at 8-10 lakhs.

My assumption would be anywhere between 15-20 lakhs.

Though my first assumption is that it will not be launched in India for atleast next 2 years. And LSD is hardly of any use in normal driving conditions.

More plastic please. Seriously, looks-wise, there was nothing wrong with the Indian Adventure either - problems were elsewhere.

Meanwhile, when is Subaru coming to India? Now that they're in the Toyota stable, they could (re-)enter India with the Forester...

And the Imprezza hatch please, with a boxer diesel engine. I really would want to own one.

As samurai has suggested, LSD is good, but it would have been great if the car had come with 4wd+LSD.

Even I think plastics are a bit too much. Needs to be toned down a little. Also the wheelbase seems pretty large. The one in red is looking especially stunning. Great looking car!

I think the plastics probably are meant to be functional rather than improve the looks. Also, If there was less plastic, it would probably look like the facelifted Palio weekend!! I dont think Fiat would want 2 models with similar looks.
