Scoop: New mercerdes E Class : Spotted in Dubai - Team-BHP

Well, Thought to post in Indian Car thread, but then as i saw this car in dubai, thought to post in the international car scene thread only

I saw this way back on the May 29th 2008, near Holiday Inn Downtown, Dera Dubai

Car though camouflaged, looked really awesome and was racing on the dubai streets. On asking the guy, he confirmed it to be the New Mercerdes E Class being tested.

Attaching Pics.( Sorry for the distorted image) the car was really moving fast when i clicked it.

What I would like to know is ,when is this car coming to India?

Great catch and surprised that you had conversation with the driver of the new E !

This car will be definately coming to India, no doubts here. What is more looking forward to is that will Bluetech make it here.

Thanks Abhinav.

I love the timeless and proportionate design of the current E-Class, as much as I dont like the quirkiness of the new C / S Class. I guess I'll hold my comments on the E-Class until the final design is unveiled.

If there is a scoop in India, no driver wishes to interact, rather they just show attitude.

E class is perhaps Mercedes' best model in terms of looks and elegance. S class and C class at their best are a quirky lot, especially in India where I come to S class being abandoned by owners every now and then (So far 2 or 3 of them in Mumbai).

Are those headlamps round? I don't think so.

The E-Class looked so elegant with those twin round/oval headlamps.

Just the question that I had. Anyway, this one looks more on the lines of the new C/S.

is it me or this doesnt look drastically different. They need to considerably change the shape..

I think they are going to be using some sort of modified SL class head lights and some other treatement in the back. but the overall shape/side profile doesnt seem to look any different.

Oh well, isnt long before we will have full pictures..
