The official details of the 2010 BMW 5-Series will be released tomorrow and as an early treat we bring you a few leaked shots showing the front end of the F10 model. The photos were posted on forum site 5post over the weekend.

The new generation model had been described as the most beautiful BMW of our time. We can't see a great deal in these photos supporting this argument with little more than evolution rather than revolution being showcased in the design.

An evolution of the current engine line-up is likely to be inherited by the new model - albeit with a few tweaks for better performance and fuel ecomony. If rumours are to be beleived, we will also see the introduction of an entry level four-cylinder petrol turbo engine as well.

Keep an eye on WCF tomorrow for full official details.

Slightly unrelated news.
Was just speaking to a head of navnit motors. They are launching the 5 series gran turismo series in india. Car will be launched here during the expo and they will get down only 100 units by June. As soon as he emails me the brochure, i will put it up here.
Here are some pics of the car from google:

I am not quite sure if I like this one or the all new E-Class. The current 5-Series is a looker.

It looks absolutely smashing!

Can't wait for the hot one, the M5! Everything about this car is very very promising! The new E-Class and A6 better watch out. The competition just got stiffer!

looks more like the 3 to me. in comparison the new E looks distinctive from the C thanks to the headlamps (and the somewhat japanese style tail lamps)

From what can be seen it looks fantastic. The stance looks so aggressive - I love it! The front looks somewhat like a scaled down 7 series.
I want one

The new 5 series looks more aggressive and the second pics gives me a sense of a shark look. The alloy wheels are the one which boosts the car looks.

I'm sure MB / Audi are scratching their heads now, esp MB cause for the next 6 years they have nothing to match up to this

Crikey! I'm a bit turned on by this! BMWs are bangled no more and we shall rejoice! It looks so smashing! Audi A6? Mercedes E? Pah! This is what I'd call a proper, proper BMW and a proper mid-size/large/whatever luxury car!

Heck, I might even (Dare I say), choose this over a Jaguar XF!

Certainly better looking than the current E and the Audi does not even compare with others. However I personally would have loved to see some really striking feature like the Eagle Eyed Headlights on the previous 5 series.
