The monster in the making! Will be one heck of a machine.

Looks like the infamous halo rings in the headlamps have gone from yellow to white.

The wheels look like they were borrowed from the Acura TL S.

Does the car have formal registration plates? They sure look so - although I have no clue whether those are valid numbers.

But in case it is a formal plate, is it possible to register a to-be-released car?

Looks like a mini 7 series, and that is a good thing!

I like! Can see more than a handful of design cues from the 7 series (everyone knows of my love for the new 7)! I'm willing to bet the new 5 (M or otherwise) will wear as clean a look as the 7 series does.

In the meanwhile, Mercedes has gone all quirky

Looks long and slim. Hope BMW can bring the magic back as far as looks are concerned. The current gen other than 7 are not pleasing.

This is what the next 5 series sedan will look like from the front. Its different from the 5 series GT pictured below.

Thanks to our "send a tip" function a WCF user has sent us this awesome video of the next-generation BMW M5 in camouflage. Internally codenamed the F10, this car will mark a seismic shift in philosophy for the Bavarian marque as it employs turbo technology in an M sedan.

Partly shot at the Nurburgring the clip takes us through just under four minutes of footage. At 00:59 you'll seen a Nissan GT-R seemingly chasing the M5. What a future battle that will be for motoring media. At several points in the video, particularly at 3:17, the turbos can be heard spooling up and pitching quite high.

BMW begins selling the new 5 Series globally in 2010 and the M5 should follow around a year later. It is thought that BMW's 4.4-litre twin turbo machine will also do duty for the bahnstomer but instead of 300kW (408hp) or 408kW (555hp) it will produce something close to 430kW (585hp).

Speculation is that an 8-speed sequential transmission will send all power to the rear wheels with the assistance of an electronic differential. To improve driving dynamics and fuel efficiency, weight will be kept as low as possible using sophisticated light body construction materials.

I have always found the E60 5 series to be one of the most handsome cars around. (Even before I owned one) And things got better with the last face lift, the rear lights with the 5 stripes look mesmerizing.
I'm a fan of modern design, not particularly bangle's. But also appreciate classic designs to an extent. The e60 was the correct blend- it's young, yet sophisticated. Which is why it suits both me and my father

I hope the F10 betters it !
