this looks similar to the old Wagon R version we had in India; except for the reduction of straight lines.

It will never come to India. Only the "looney-tunes" versions are sent here. Witness the street A-Star and the Splash. And, the hunchback Dzire. How could i omit to mention it?.

the only thing maruti can do is to take that truck-style grille of and put a more simpler one like the one in the link. that would still look better.

Wow. Neat looking Wagon R. The interiors look great. The seating arrangement and the folding of seating is also shown perfectly. Ithas airbags too. And I feel it should have ABS also. Hope to see this soon in India.

OOOH. The stingray looks very very very cool!

Not a patch on hot cube though.

But still, Maruti, get the stingray and I may even think of trading in my Zen Carbon.

More threads on Stingray. We used to discuss it in t-bhp long time back.

Doesnt this new Wagon R look like a younger sibling of our own SUMO Grande?

Going by their record with the MR WAGON (the much-hyped dud called 'Zen' Estilo) it will be brought here once the next version of Wagon R is released in Japan in 6-7 years and the Japanese factory has no more use for the dies.

The existing Wagon R is a perfectly good car, the problem with it is because it uses the same technology from 10 years ago like the engine and rubbery gearbox. I don't think anybody has any issues with it's shape, at least not the people who buy it for its practicality and functionality. A new Wagon R with new power train, new interiors and improved suspension and handling but with the same shape will be a guaranteed hit in India.

Looks good, but got bored of seeing the boxy wagonR now. Would prefer the Splash.
