This thread seems to have gone cold all of a sudden?

Did anyone catch the last episode? God the Fiesta review was the funniest one on TG yet!!

And I wonder how they got permission for the mall scene

This is definitely one of the craziest episodes of TG I have seen (and I've seen pretty much all! ).
The highlight was the Caterham 7 going around the TG track faster than the Veyron. Proves you dont need a million dollars to have fun!
The mall scene was something straight out of a Hollywood movie. Great precision driving
And the beach landing with the marine commandos must easily be the most high-budget scene ever shot for a car show. Must've cost BBC a bomb to shoot that. Recession? What recession?!

Good god yes, it must've been expensive if they did it exclusively for the Fiesta. My hunch is that they merely turned up at an official beach offensive tactical drill.

I would doubt that. No military would allow a TV channel to film while they're having an official practice drill. Think of all the takes and retakes. There is an objective behind every drill, and the royal marines would'nt compromise that objective.

Probably so. But then again, it is broadcasted by the BBC. Acquiring permission may have been easier. And I don't think there would be any flow of money between two government bodies.

High Budgetwise, i would have thought the Robin Reliant Rocket would have totally outdone the beach landing.

The MOD have always done stuff with Top Gear... Dont forget Tank versus Landrover and a couple more...

One cannot watch Top Gear on television in India (unless you count watching it on a DivX player :P).

It airs on BBC2 which isn't available here.

That would be against the rules.

But, I'll tell you that a search or two at any torrent aggregator site will get you a link. It is very prevalent.
