Default ford ranger gets a facelift, endeavour to follow next?

as we know, the ford ranger and endeavour have common exteriors till b-pillar and identical interiors.

ford have released a facelift of the ranger recently, as depicted in the article at this link:

2009 Ford Ranger Facelift: First Official Photos - Carscoop

will the endeavour (everest) also get the same new front look?

Not bad. Does remind me of the Nissan Frontier, though.

About time Ford did that. The current one looks really dated and hasn't been refreshed since the late 90's I think.

This looks a bit tame IMHO. The present Endy looks mean. But, the interiors are waayy ahead in the new one.

I think this is the new Ranger that was shown as concept. Its nice looking with relatively good interiors. But the powertrain is not updated. And in India ( dont know if this exists even internationally ) only the 3.0 is available in 4 X 4 version. If a similar update is made available in India, I dont know how the public will react. I believe that mostly the sales are comign becasue of looks and presence.

Its a nice vehicle though and I hope this version comes with IRS as the ride quality is real bad at the rear.

I hope not. I like the Endeavour because of its square, masculine lines - the facelift gives it curvy headlamps and stuff - old is gold, Ford India DONT TOUCH IT!

Why does it remind me so much of a modified Hilux?

I think the current looks of the Endy are fine. If it needs some improvement with respect to the looks, its the rear which calls for it.

The current Endy is the best SUV in India in its segment...looks tough and modern...new interiors are great...atleast it still remains an SUV!!!! in every sense if the term...ranger facelift looks overdone & a tad garish

the present endy is a much meaner looking vehicle with that square lines and earth bending bulk.the first thought that comes to mind if somebody thinks about the endeavour is of a large muscular car with an immense road presence.this one looks like the baby of present gen endy.
