Default 2010 Audi Q7

Audi has released a face-lifted version of its Q7 SUV. On the outside a lot hasn't changed, with the updates mostly focused on the lighting, tailgate and paint colors. The head-light clusters are the same shape but now get the LED eye-liner treatment that has spread throughout much of the Audi lineup. The front bumper has also been subtly reshaped as well, while the rear light clusters now feature full LED elements.
Inside, the trim has been updated with more wood, but the big news is the third generation MMI navigation/entertainment/information system. The nav gets a 3D interface and joystick control for finding destinations. The Sirius satellite radio also provides traffic data now and accepts voice commands to find cash, food or gas, much like Ford's TravelLink system. Powertrains for the US pretty much carryover and include the new 3.0-liter TDI diesel. Over in Europe, the optional 4.2-liter TDI V8 is now up to 340 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque. The fuel consumption of the diesel V8 has been reduced with mileage on the European combined cycle going from 21.2 to 23.8 mpg.

Like most new SUVs it looks like itíll do better on road and worse off it.
I wasnít expecting much from Audi but to my horror Nissan finally went soft with their new 2010 Patrol

Love those LED's, but I'm worried Audi will make us get sick of them by putting them on every possible car...

The best part of the new model is the improvement in power.Looks-wise, not outstanding.

LED lights have now become an Audi trademark, so it wasn't surprising to see them on the Q7 also.Audi interiors are one of the best crafted ones in the world! The console and the instruments are laid up very neatly. Now, waiting for the V12 to come to our shores!

I like the rear tail-lamp design.
The front lamps could have been made more curvier..

Post Update: Audi introduces the new Q7 at INR 53,40,000 (Information about Audi Q7 price)

Hai I have foud some important information about the audi Q7 price

Audi has announced the launch of the new Audi Q7 - the latest version of largest selling performance luxury SUV in India. The new Audi Q7 is available in three engine options - 3.0 TDI quattro, 3.6 FSI quattro and 4.2 FSI quattro at Audi dealerships across the country from 3rd September 2009. The new Audi Q7 range starts at (ex-showroom Mumbai) INR 53,40,000 for the 3.0 TDI quattro, INR 55,20,000 for the 3.6 FSI quattro and 42,696 EUROS for the 4.2 FSI quattro (non homologated).

The Audi Q7 is a sporty, comfortable, high-performance car for leisure and business. It is the large Audi for customers looking for a vehicle that can take them anywhere and is roomy and flexible. And this character is immediately evident in the design: the side view with the low window area, the arched roof line and the tautly curved body surfaces presents a coupe-like silhouette.

All engines in the Audi Q7 program are powerful and efficient direct-injection versions. Standard equipment includes a six-speed tiptronic that shifts swiftly and smoothly as it transfers the generated power to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, which distributes it to the axles with modest emphasis on the rear. Some of the standard equipment of the new Audi Q7 includes 18-inch wheels and adaptive air suspension that enhances the sporty precision of the car's handling as well as its strong off-road performance.

New accents at the front and rear contribute to even more elegant styling and visual impact. New single-frame radiator grill in high gloss black with vertical chrome bars adds robustness to the car in conjunction with new Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights. The new Audi Q7 also comes with optional high-end headlight version that integrates not only a low beam, high beam, and turning and cornering lights, but for the first time also a special superhighway beam. The restyled tailgate presents a more forceful contour.

The new Audi Q7 is powered by highly efficient direct-injection engines and is available in a 3.0 TDI 176 kW (240 hp), 550 Nm torque option, a 3.6 FSI 206 kW (280 hp), 360 Nm torque option and a 4.2 FSI 257 kW (350 hp), 440 Nm torque option. The top-of-the line version of the MMI systems includes a hard disk drive, a single DVD player, and voice control, with the option of including a Bluetooth telephone, an advanced radio tuner, Rear Seat Entertainment.

If LED's around headlights are not enough then AUDI has started making headlights with LED's itself. The LED's used for headlights are very different and costs just $5000 as an option on Audi's new 2010 R8. I've seen Lexus LS series with similar kind of headlights but not sure who came our first with those.

It looks overdone. Too many bits here and there, LEDs and gills and lights and more LEDs and slats and.. It looks a bit of a mess. But it does look nice! And one thing's for sure, it's going to command HUGE presence on the streets like the way it always does!

P.S. Would love to see Audi engineer a butch, tough rugged Q7. Just like what Porsche did with the Cayenne (Transsyberia) minus the hideous paint scheme though!
