To me the World's Best Luxury Car is a 1960's Mercedes Benz 600(std saloon version).
It has an absolute amazing aura surrounding it.Many of the Famous people have owned a 600.From Rock stars to Dictators to Corporate Leaders to Heads of State. When you see one you feel the urge to look for your camera ,expecting someone famous to step out of the car.When you see one you either want to hate it or Love it.It does not make you fell less of yourself or jelous.You just feel honoured in its presence.Even when you park one next to the latest S-class ,the older lady is a much more prettier one.

Today if i had to pay 10 times the price of a Rolls Royce Phantom I would DO SO.There is no other car like the 1960's Mercedes Benz 600.

Well Mr.Poonawala has one and was asking for some odd 50 lacs a while back.
So I guess you can get that for much lower than your budget.

i'd rather buy a nice big house and 5 mercs and 5 bmws current gen and then some FD. that thing aint worth 50CR.

well it certainly is the world's most luxurious car, but for the 60's and 70's. luxury does'nt only mean soft cushions, lots and lots of space and leather and wood and POWERRRR. well in those days it was just those, but now there are a few more concerns SAFETY, speed, creature comforts and importantly stopping power. well am sure the MB 600 was safe as it was one of the first cars to have a crash crumple zone, one of the FIRST. things have advanced more nowadays Mr.Sunil and am sure you know much more than me in regards to that. well the MB600 is definitely an unforgettable classic or maybe a legand (maybe), it was an inspiration for the designers of the Maybach, but its certainly not by far the most luxurious car.

for a person who could afford to buy one,oil prices are least of the worries in fact as oil prices rise one you might only get to see cars like these on roads
