Thanks guys I wasn't upset, there was no need to be. I suppose if sometimes you gotta back up with you say on the internet - there's nothing wrong with that. I appreciate the positive thoughts

My daily driver is a Mustang:

Loved your attitude. to that.

So, how long before you burn some rubber? I believe you would want her totally checked up first. Or have you already taken a spin?

Edit: Just saw the post above, your daily drive, a Mustang! Man, I envy you.

Thanks

I'll have to go over the car and take care of basic needs - changing all the fluids and double-checking everything. Other than basic maintenance, the car should not need anything else. I'll probably want to take it easy on the car for a while since it's been sitting so long. I really don't plan on using it much at all, but it should be run regularly at least. Maybe a burnout or two once I get it all ready

Good you've taken things in the right spirits.

Thank you, and we are sorry.

Now can we have some more on the ongoing restoration story.

We would like to hear this beauty growl and roar on roads again.

I am looking for a blackboard so I can do a Bart Simpson by writing 'I will not call Greg a fake' over and over again.
Keep the pics coming.

You must have lot of patience to keep such a car untouched, even if you were under age.

Any way! its never too late. Unleash the beast.
I take back my previous comment.

Who wants a corvette when you have a Mustang.

You are LUCKY man, just plain lucky to be driving that pristine Corvette. I'm an avid fan of some American cars, they simply ooze character like no Honyota. And what better representation of this fact than the "Vette, the 'Stang and the Viper.

Seeing these beasts makes me feel terrible for the mess that GM (and to an extent Ford) created for themselves. Why couldn't they build a coupla competitive compacts & entry sedans, so that enthusiasts like us are guaranteed better muscle cars, from those who know them best (similar to how the Cayenne led to better 911's!).

Welcome aboard.

Thanks everyone, I've only been here a short time but I really like this site. I'm eager to learn about the cars popular in your culture, as well as what your local car scene is like. This site is very interesting to read.

The Mustang is a fun car - very easy to drive and extremely powerful. Mine has a 5-speed automatic and it seems just as quick as the 5-speed manual transmission. I'm really eager to get the 2010 Camaro though, and I'm hoping GM will produce the 550+ HP Z28, but that might not happen now. I'll wait and hope...

Here's a photo from 2004, of my Z28 that I used to tow my boat. I miss this car, it was a lot of fun.

What will be your next purchase? It will be interesting to know about your next Car (after owning corvette, mustang, Z28). Can you post some interior and front pics of mustang and Z28 please?

Thanks again everyone. I was thinking about the new Camaro SS, I would like one of those. I'm also considering the ZR-1.

Here are some photos of my old Z28, this was a fun car. I'll post up some Mustang photos shortly too.
