VW seem to be on a roll. First the new Golf based GTi and now a new Audi A4. The single framed grille is now on the A4 too - i still havn'et made up my mind if i like this new grille. my frist reaction is that it looks weird- makes the front look like a walrus!
the good news is people now have 10 engine options! (when will such a thing happen in india?) The top line S4 comes with a V8 and 344hp!
FSI petrols range from 1.6 to 3.2V6 with 255hp. Diesels include a all new 3.0TDI V6 crdi unit belting out 204hp!

Some more hi tech stuff is:
Optional xenon plus headlights with adaptive light technology.
Continously variable multitronic transmission
Quattro permanant four wheel drive.

check out some pics: don't the lights look like that of the Elantra?

I don't like the steering.

Love the rear!

i really hate that new Audi nose! It just looks terrible on the A8 and A6, but this A4 looks the worst of the bunch! It kinda reminds me of the Edsel!

Don't these designers actually see what their designs look like in the real world?

Doesn't this design remind you of a Walrus?

Hmm......the first picture definitely gave me a shock.....coz it looked like an Elantra!.....

I usually appreciate Audis smooth and geometric designs.....but this just seems like its trying to hard to fit in....and has gone wrong.

Im 50-50 on this one....only because it does look pretty good in the last picture!

The new nose of the Audi range is a big put off! Most manufacturers are making a big mess of their their designs. Audi has just joined the ranks.

The front end is a disappointment. It looks more like a Bangled Audi. The rear looks very heavy . I really loved Audis simple design layouts but this just aint happening

You're not alone pal, I like it. I'm sorry did somebody say Elantra? Edsel maybe, but i doubt this one will flop as bad as the Edsel. I quite like Audi's new face, while everything about them was Teutonic, the design just didn't live upto it. Now it does, and it looks aggressive too. I know we are all fans of clean, uncluttered lines, but todays designers leave us but little choice. And Audi and BMW designs currently the best of the lot. Maybe this one reminds me of the Nuvolari, that's why i probably like it.

So VW is using CDI technology for their diesels? What happened to their TDi PD engines?

man.........these germans are goin nuts. Audi seems to follow the path laid down by MB and BMW.

MB's designs were formal, solid and cold german logic. BMW was muscular, taut and restrained aggression. Audi was clean, classy and understated, yet aggressive. Now MB seems almost Korean (fans of the latest MB designs, forgive me), BMWs are downright ugly, and Audi looks pretty chintzy.

Maybe it's just that I'm a diehard fan of the old school architecture. Anyways. Did they really have to do this???

I personally fell down when i saw the new A8 and A6, they were soo awesome..the nose was perfect..here they have used the same concept, but changed a little bit with the most perfect head lights..now thats a little disappointing..but overall i like it..though the rankings would have to be
A8
A6 and then this new A4, I guess A3 before this..

Not appealing enough like the previous Audi`s.
Absolutely not happening.
Does`nt have the impact of an A.U.D.I.
