| Things have begun heating up leading to the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. One big name expected to make a big splash during the show is Bugatti. The Volkswagen Group-owned brand is celebrating 100 years in existence by unveiling a brand new model but officials are not quite willing to share information about it yet. Speculators have called the car the Bugatti Royale while others believe it is referred to internally as Project Lydia, after the brand founder's wife. WCF has been covering this talk since 2006 when the rumours first surfaced of a four-door Veyron. Such secrecy on the part of Bugatti has given rise to endless guesses about where exactly Bugatti is going with its new sure-to-be-highly-exclusive car. After conquering the world of supercars with the 407km/h Veyron the next most popular place to go is surely the super sedan segment. Players in that space, albeit not quite in Bugatti league, include the Rolls-Royce Phantom and the upcoming Grand Bentley. Incidentally the rumours are that the new model at Frankfurt will be sedan and that the production car might borrow some of its resources from cousin Grand Bentley. This teaser picture which was scanned from an invitation to the exclusive reveal party shows LED rear tailights and more importantly a vertically-mounted LED Center High Mounted Stop Lamp that portrays a rear end similar to the attached artist renderings. The flames of speculation have officially been fanned once again. Source: jalopnik.com

| Somehow I dont like the Buggati front. The shape of the grill is just not palatable to me. Not just this pic, but the veyron as well. Agreed its hyper car, 1000 hp etc, but anyday, I would take any Aston Martin. |

| The new name for Bugatti's next model, a luxury four-seater supercar, has been revealed. AutoExpress is reporting that the car will be introduced as the Bugatti Bordeaux when it is introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Previously, the Bordeaux had been reported as the Bugatti Royale. It was widely believed that employees working on the vehicle had been referring to it internally as Project Lydia. Yesterday, we showed you the first teaser pic of the car, distributed as a party invitation. The grainy photo gives us little, but shows the interesting use of LED lights at the back. Our artist's renderings suggest a shooting brake model, but we never predicted the vertical third light which defines the split rear window. The car is expected to get the same quad-turbo, 8.0-liter W16 engine found on the Veyron. The engine produces 1001 horsepower, and up to 1250 Nm of torque, suggesting the Bordeaux will be the fastest four-seater ever produced. Note: Previously published artist illustrations attached for your enjoyment - not literal interpretation. Source: autoexpress.co.uk

| Source:Topspeed Even if the upcoming Bugatti Bordeaux won’t make it to the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the fine British automaker keeps teasing us with a new image that shows off a cleverly lit side profile of the future super sedan. We cannot tell you when exactly the Automaker will see fit to unveil the entire automobile, but it will most definitely be this year in order to coincide with company’s centennial celebration. Under the mid mounted engine cover, the Italian exotic four passenger super car will feature the same 8.0 Liter quad turbo W16 engine as its bigger brother, the Veyron. Except that in the sedan version the power plant will deliver slightly less than the 1001 HP of the coupe, the Bordeaux will deliver 987 HP and 922 lb-ft of torque to be exact. This will give a whole new meaning to the term shooting brake. What amazes me are the octal exhausts!!! octal???!!!![]() ![]()

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | The car on post #1 looks to be a rendering using the Panamera as a base. The renderings on post #8 does not match the exhaust and the design of the taillamps, as well as the side profile given in the teaser snaps. Well, dont be surprised with Octal exhaust tips, for an engine that has 4 turbos and 16 cylinders, 10 radiators, 8 exhaust tips is pretty much everyday stuff!! Only surprise is that for the veyron, its a single central diffuser mounted exhaust tip, which isn't in this case. May be a limitation of being a 4 seater.

| Look at the side windows! Even narrower than the new Camaro.I think there's going to be some kind of fin at the rear where the third brake lamp will be mounted.Very avantgrade indeed..

| Source:Topspeed The exotic Italian automaker Bugatti has been teasing the automotive public for quite some time now with the less than revealing photos of the new four passenger addition to the 250 MPH club, the Bugatti Bordeaux. So, sick of imagining what was occupying that vast amount of negative space, the chaps from Car Magazine had a go at full rendering based on the rear teaser image. Showing off the central mounted high brake light and the eight exhaust tips. The Bugatti will be unveiled as a concept sometime this year with a production version to follow for the 2011 model year. The same W16 engine that is found in the Veyron will propel the new super sedan. Except that this time the power plant will be mounted ahead of the passengers and will be mated to the same Ricardo-developed seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox. According to Volkswagen AG chairman Martin Winterkorn, with this new model the European automotive conglomerate will experiment with a modular luxury platform meaning that some of the more expensive Bentleys may share the same engineering design, much like the VW/Audi/SEAT setup. However the Bordeaux will have wheelbase much longer than any Bentley. The future four door takes its inspiration from the Bugatti Type 41 built between 1929-1933. The super luxury car will offer a host of custom coach built options like a XXL wheelbase, full length sunroof or even retro bodywork inspired by the old Royale. ![]()
