First thing that came to my mind, as i have mentioned in the previous post. Rear shouts Audi. I think its the taillamps that are the culprits here. Just attaching the pic from previous post to one of a random A4 pic from google search.

These are illustrations. Not the actual product's pictures. But nevertheless, the mules have elements similar to what the illustrations suggest.

The new Jetta Mark VI is near-production.

Source : VW NCC Concept Previews Near Production MKVI Jetta Coupe/Sedan

Article :
Volkswagen is giving NAIAS attendees a sneak peak at what the future has in store for the Jetta mkVI. The Volkswagen NCC Concept, or New Compact Coupe, is a hybrid vehicle that combines a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor.

But the real news is the car's styling, which brings back square headlights while ditching the Jetta mkV's gaudy chrome features. The two-door car reportedly has a roofline that is indistinguishable from the next-gen sedan.

What you see above is a four-door rendering from vwvortex.com, whose artist noticed that the manufacturer, "took the sedan, moved the b-pillar back, fabricated longer front doors and filled in the rear door profile with glass and sheetmetal."

As for the NCC Concept, the car's 148-horsepower engine, which cranks out up to 177 ft-lb of torque, works with the 20-kiloWatt electric motor to move the car 67.3 miles-per-gallon. The two combine for 175 hp and 280 ft-lb, with the motor powered by a rear-mounted 1.1kWh li-ion battery. CO2 emissions fall below 100 grams-per-kilometer. Performance is respectable, with a 0-62 km/h time of 8.1 seconds en route to a 141 mph top speed.

To be built in Mexico the Jetta mkVI will have its media release in June with the market launch in the thrid quarter of this year. It could get a petrol 2.0-liter naturally aspirated or turbocharged four-bangers, and a TDI. North American base price could be as low as $17k.

I like the interiors and overall look of the car, except the rear looks too similar to the Audi A4 as i commented earlier also. The rear seat may not look very practical but along with white color and separated seats it looks very luxurious.

The rear seats in this version may not be practical, but we need to consider the fact that this is designed for the Coupe version. The coupe buyers typically don't expect need for rear seats.

Hope the sedan version comes out soon with proper engine options.

Default Possible Mk 6 Jetta caught testing uncovered?

2012 VW Jetta sedan prototype caught testing uncovered?
and THEIR source:
GMI'spy Mystery VW sedans - GM Inside News Forum

New-model car spies doing duty waiting for GM vehicles to be caught testing in the Detroit area stumbled across what they could not initially identify, but subsequently looks like the next generation Jetta.

If one compares it with pics of the New Compact Coupe "concept" from the Detroit show earlier this year, (which was itself widely tipped to be an almost-production-ready "outing" of the new Jetta), this seems to confirm it.
Also compare with earlier hot-weather testing pics, especially for the rear light cluster.
The front cluster looks very much like the NCC shown at the Detroit show.
That said, the front and rear lights seem to be mildly disguised with some parts covered.

Also note the VW group tendency to resort to "rebadging" to conceal these testers. Our Vento caught testing in India with Ford-style badges would be more in the same vein. Again, the Vento tester was also running around with parts of the light clusters covered.

That is the jetta.
Some clear pics. That fake chery logo is obviously not a clever disguise.

You know, sidindica, leftlanenews was in my thoughts when i mentioned the hot weather testing pics, but I didnt bother to check if they had anything on this!
These are WAY clearer, and definitively nail the transition from new concept coupe to the production sedan.
Also goes with what we are seeing of the new phaeton, touareg and passats.
I hope the cost cutting drive to make this a more attractive offering in the USA and developing markets actually translates to a lower sticker price here when launched. As you can see in pic 3,4,5, this has a rear drum brake, part of the cost cutting.
I'm waiting for this since I am not hoping for too much from the Vento when it arrives.

Default Thats the Jetta

Well done buddy. Good find.
Im slightly disappointed though, the designs safe and not very exciting. I wanted to replace my Civic with the next gen Jetta but i get the feeling ill be sticking to the next gen civic which will definitely be a lot more futuristic.
(Psst..New Jetta= New Skoda Laura...and im sure it is around the corner as well)

looks much more contemporary than than the current jetta.
Has a certain "German" essence to it.

VW if you are listening, please release the 1.4TFSI unit along with the 1.8 TSI with the new jetta!!

Lots of design cues common to the Polo. Overall a nice, complete, symmetric design that is so very VWish. Interiors are very classy I would love to buy this car, now if only i had the money.

Looks older generation Audi. How easy it would be for VW to re-design Audi and make VW look like the discarded version of Audi !

Unfortunately, just like the Passat, the new gen Jetta has lost its character. This is a good proportionate design that will be well liked but where is the distinctive look of the current Jetta?
