Inspired by the fibreglass 1955 Chevrolet Corvette, it was a limited volume production fibreglass cabriolet. Just 68 cars were produced in 1956 and 1957.

1956 models used the Volvo B14 4-cylinder OHV cast-iron block 1,414 cc engine with twin SU dashpot carburettors (like those that went into our early Hindustan Ambassadors).

The late P1900s built in 1957 had a 1,583 cc 4-cylinder OHV engine. Both engines drove the rear wheels through a 3-speed manual gearbox.

All of these cars had a 6V electrical system.

Built around a steel tube chassis, this fibreglass convertible shared many mechanical parts of the Volvo PV444.

These were very rare cars and only around 2215 cars were built with the then new Pacemaster V-8 engine of 4249cc and a power output of 188bhp.

Chery Eastar (Chinese illegal imitation of Daewoo Magnus)

The sheetmetal immediately announced itself as some kind of Daewoo Magnus. But then the grille -- Looked like a model of GM's Indian Optra.

Variations on the Daewoo Magnus platform are produced and sold worldwide under the names:
Chevrolet Optra, Daewoo/Chevrolet Evanda, Suzuki Verona, Holden Epica and Buick Excelle.

Chevrolet Optra

Buick Excelle (GM's Daewoo Magnus for Chinese market)

Ram

Sir ,are you sure chevrolet optra and holden Epica are the same cars?
AFAIK chevy optra is daewoo Nubira and daewoo magnus is chevy Epica(was is likly to come to india sometime)

both the cars are in two differeent segments
the Epica is expected to be sold at a price tag of 16lacs in india which means it competes with the likes of sonata and the accord and is higher than the optra

AMATMO, you are right!
They are not the same car.

The old Chevrolet Epica and new Chevrolet Epica are admittedly a slightly larger platform than the 4-cylinder Pininfarina designed Optra (Daewoo Lacetti) which has a 2601 mm wheelbase. That compares with the Lancer-Cedia and Corolla.

The Daewoo Lacetti replaced the Daewoo Nubira which replaced the Daewoo Cielo/Nexia! So Lacetti, Nubira and Nexia are three different same size platforms, generationally apart from each other.

The 2006-launched Daewoo Tosca (new Chevrolet Epica) replaces the Giugiaro designed 2000-2006 Daewoo Magnus (old Chevrolet Epica, Suzuki Verona, Chevrolet Evanda).

Tosca and Magnus are admittedly a slightly larger platform than the 4-cylinder Pininfarina designed Optra (Daewoo Lacetti) which has a 2601 mm wheelbase.

Both, the Tosca and the Magnus have a 2700 mm wheelbase.
That compares with our Honda Civic.

The new Tosca is 6 mm narrower than the old Magnus. The Tosca uses a Porsche designed super-smooth straight-six engine, mounted transversely like in a Range Rover. Doing that, it's probably the only car in the world to do so.

But the new Tosca (Epica) is smaller than the Hyundai Embera and Honda Accord.
Just for size comparison, the Sonata-Embera has a wheelbase of 2730 mm
And the Honda Accord has a wheelbase of 2740 mm.

Default ID:408; 1952 Rosengart 33 Ariette cabriolet

ID:408 is a 1952 Rosengart 33 Ariette Cabriolet.

It was launched at the Paris Salon of October 1951 and produced until 1953. These nice small 720 kg. cars were designed by Philippe Charbonneaux.

La belle Paris ressemble toujours le même.

The car was powered by a 747 cc side valve engine of Austin Seven origin. Breathing through a Solex carb, it developed 21.2 bhp@4000 rpm and drove the front wheels, pushing the car to max out at 90 km/h. It returned a fuel economy of 15.4 km/litre

It had a 6V electrical system. This little French car was also distributed in French Indochina (now called Vietnam).
