What a find! Ive been very fond of all 47s, and this one had such clear 47 lines yet I hadn't seen it ever. Everyday I learn something new on Team Bhp.

Default ID:504 FSO Syrena 104

ID:504 is a Polish car -- the 1966-72 FSO Syrena-104 made by Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych (FSO) of Poland.

However it appears to be wearing wheel-trim-rings from the model 105.

One can recognize it as model 104 by the suicide doors and the kinked side spear. The Syrena-105 had forward hinged doors.

This car had a 3-cylinder 2-stroke 842 cc engine, that put out 40 bhp @ 4300 rpm and 78 Nm torque @ 2750 rpm. The engine was mounted in the front and drove the front wheels through a 4-speed gearbox. Could reach a top speed of 120 km/h.

Simple Dash with one big dial and steering column mounted gear lever.

In Greek mythology, Sirens were three dangerous creatures -- pretty winged nymphs who sang beautiful songs that seduced sailors to their doom. They lived on the three small, rocky islands called Sirenum scopuli off the west coast of Italy. In Indian mythology they are called Dains (डैन) and Churails (चुडैल).

I cant say i recognise the car, but my first thoughts were how striking a resemblance the car bears to a Mercedes 300S.

This looks like a Mercedes-Benz Typ 300 "Adenauer" (W186) of which Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was also an owner. However the glass house, and backlight looks somewhat different.
I could swear that glasshouse parts from the W189 were used for this
Maybe a one-off customization by Binz Karosserie of Lorch, Württemberg?

Its a W186 mercedes 300b alright. Probably W186 series III (1954 onwards)
I feel its a 1954-56 seeing the B pillar still present. (It was discontinued from 1957 onwards) and the presence of quarter glasses in the front windows.
Also its not a L or Lang version.
