Goggomobil coupes had a key exterior spec which was the unique positioning of its door handle.

All the answers have been incorrect. Let me add that the car was drafted in 1962 and manufactured in 1964 (although it was a limited production run). And it was definitely European.

The designer was German and there seems to be a Fiat connection.

It's not an Abarth. (The Fiat connection I mentioned is not that well pronounced in this case.) On top of that, the car is not an Italian product.

OK, how about a different angle then: if I told you the country of origin, you would have practically no trouble identifying the manufacturer.

Actually, I was more vague about the matter. The original company was split into subdivisions and the old name was discarded.

Alright then, ID:707 is a 1964 Steyr-Puch Adria TS designed by Werner Hölbl. Apparently, around 15 of those were manufactured.
