Truly mind-boggling, C4S. This is one of the best finds to date.

This grapg illustrates the trend of mergers and take-overs better than anything else. Heck, there are hardly any independent car manufacturers left!! Honda, Porsche and BMW are more the exception than the rule.

oh no man..VW is the biggest european car manufacturer...atleast until benz and chrysler mergerd..so I dont know if VW is still the biggest..but its up there..it owns a lot of stuff..and not the other way around..

Yes, but I was mentioning small (relatively) and specialist car manufacturers. Compared to the giant Toyota, Honda/BMW/Porsche are considered specialist manufacturers. Also Honda and Porsche have more than once resisted take-over attempts.

I can imagine some one trying to take over porsche, but who is trying to take over honda..i had no idea..Honda is the 3rd largest car manufacturer in japan right? after toyota and nissan...so that would be pretty major..i had no clue about this! who was it?
