I've been imagining this scenario for very long now. And everytime, the answer is the Land Rover Range Rover (not the Sport). I can take it to a five-star hotel, use it for long trips, use it for offroading, and it can carry friends / family and their luggage in great comfort.

And i'd also buy the Carbon Offset option to keep my conscience clean!

Well, if only a couple, i.e. no kids yet, yet also want an occasional couple pof back seats and luggage space, I would say a VW Scirocco. Of course, if the kids are already there, a 5-door Golf GTi.

Else, I really liked other 'hot' versions of family cars, like the Type-R Accord, or of course, an M3 saloon.

For me it would definitely have to be the new 2011 4.4 litre diesel Range rover.Preferably the fully loaded Autobiography version in Black with tan interiors.
Again it the big brother and not the sport version.

A Porsche Cayenne Turbo would do just fine with that 8 speed tranny.

500 ps, a 4.5 sec to 100.... and the Porsche brand.
Plus off road/all weather capabilities (to some extent).

And the upgraded looks have grown on me, it ain't that bad mate.

One car. Hmmm, tough one. Among the present breed of cars, I'd have to say the S63 AMG. Fast, practical, spacious, loaded with gadgets. And if I'm bent on playing at the track once in a while, I'd have a M3. Or a 911 turbo.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. Use it daily, on race track, family picnics. It will serve just all.

The switzer 1000 bhp package runs only on C16 race gas which ight be extremely hard to get considering you using it as an everyday car.

So the Switzer p800 package would be perfect for you and performance you should be happy as it beat the mighty Veyron in a drag race.

And again as always with any tuned car, reliability might be an issue.

I was going to say R35 - But when I have all that money why should I not pick up a Fully Customized beast? Not sure which custom ~ going to waste some time to find out though.

Thanks for the tip Arjun. What a mistake I would have made. <Phew>
