I doubt whether the VW-Suzuki agreement will mean absolute cooperation on the A.S.S front from the Maruti Suzuki people. That will be sort of like a suicide for them, will it not?

Also, I think the mental resistance on the price for a hatch comes in at 6L rather than 5L. Look at i20 for example. There are tons of them on the road despite being priced more than 5L (though below 6L). I think the higher end version of Polo is going to eat away the sales of i20 quite a bit.

Is killing still required, Fabia is anyways dead as a brand?

The Polo is already a serious contender for the ICOTY next year. If priced and positioned sensibly, the Polo is going to be unbeatable.

IMO, dont think that VW will try and cannibalize its own product line. It may uplift fabia post the introduction of Polo to compete in the Jazz segment though. So, killing or death of a brand isnt really the case here.

Talking Can't wait to lay my hands on one!

I am eagerly waiting to lay hands on one. Fingers crossed that it would be around 6-7L with premium(typically german) interiors not the cheap interiors that was shown in other thread!

And if they do bring in the 1.2L TSi engine or the 1.6L TDi 89BHP for that matter, it will be the icing on the cake for sure!
