Default The New Porsche Cayenne

guys... the 2nd generation cayenne is coming in may'10....and its to die for!!! apart from the diesel and the petrol engines, they have introduced a hybrid engine...and the hybrid is best in class (like other things in a porsche) cause the car uses the electric motor even at speeds of 120kmph if one is cruising....

check out the webspecial: To the point.*The new Cayenne.

i am looking at the cayenne (V6) or the hybrid. but i need some inputs of extra options available on the cayennes...the cayenne has a number of options like the PASM (air suspension), PCM, PDCC (anti roll system)....
i wanted to check if:
PASM, PDCC - is this for high performance driving only? are the regular suspensions in the cayenne not good enough for indian roads. the PASM is standard from the cayenne S onwards...and the PDCC is only a standard on the turbo S. my driving takes me within the city, state and national highways...village roads as well....and im not into off roading...(atleast as of now...who knows what happens if i get myself the cayenne ) should i take the PASM and skip on the PDCC...

hoping someone can throw light on PDCC!!

PCM - any idea what the display type is in the cayenne? cause PCM is standard only in the turbo.....

enjoy the snaps...rcvd them from the dealership....

Indra, agree with you buddy. The New Cayenne is Butt Ugly. Then again, when the first pics of the cayenne came out, i thought Porsche has gone nuts. But later it grew in me and when i saw in flesh, I loved it. Hm, lets wait and see.

Btw, Already a thread running on the topic mate.

I agree. The front looks nice & aggressive but the rear, though i wouldnt go so far as to call it ugly, doesnt match the Cayenne's character. The rear looks more like a contemporary soft roader :P

Atleast it looks way better than the old one . The rear looks too much like the Lexus RX though.

That is a truly horrendous looking thing. Not even its own mother could like its looks. But lets hope its mechanically as sound as the last version. Not that it would change my opinion of it or anything, but still..

I couldn't agree more. No matter how good or bad it looks, take one out to the streets and people will still do a double take when they see it, for good or bad reasons. The old one looks kinda obese compared to the new version.

Looks hideous! Except for the interiors of the cabin which seem splendid, i wouldn't care for this car.

The release this ugly duckling just when you thought the cayenne was growing on you.
The rear is totally unacceptable . The front has actually improved and also love the alloys.

From the pics it is ugly, no doubt. But I'll like to wait till I see one in flesh. When is it going to be launched?

Front is manageable or rather its fine, but rear is absolute no-no, looks like its ripped from jap/korean product.

Looks Ferrarish ! No? Rear is different than any SUV, stands out from the square, round rectangle designs.
